Inspiration: I don’t really have any pictures that could help since I’m using filler sprites and images right now until I can find someone to help me with that (I‘m a little shy on asking). Technically I need two versions of a Theme that would be appropriately titled “Evil Trio’s Anthem of Freedom!?” and “Trio’s Anthem of Sadness”. One should be a rousing theme of battle/ conflict well the other should be a sad, but hopeful feel. A real bitter sweetness to it. I was thinking what you could do is have the “Trio’s Anthem of Sadness” one appear in the “Evil Trio’s Anthem of Freedom!?”, but completely drowned and difficult to hear. If it helps the music is supposed to be the theme for the borderline crazy (more like really immature) trio of friends who appear as villains throughout the game. Their names are Hiroto (Or Boss as the other two call him alot), Miwako, and Akio. (Miwako and Akio are a younger sister and older brother respectivly) Yeah that's about all I can say without this being filled with spoilers.

The first one is a face graphic, while the second one is the character sprite. (Yes, the game is RMVX)

 

Now, my best attempt to describe the town.

Deep in the southern forests, legend tells tales of a town where elven-kind are free to do as they please. Happiness is the only thing humans remember when they enter such a town, for some have been able to see this holy ground. It is surrounded in trees that seem to try and reach for the sky, while in the center is Yggdrasil, the World Tree. No meat is eaten here and nothing unnatural to the world can be found. The elves live a peaceful life, far from human contact.

 

So mainly, I'm hoping that you can make this sound nature-like. The song's main use is for the town, but may be heard during important times for the character shown above. Hope I gave enough information so you can make the song. Thanks in advance! :alright:

I'm having a lot of trouble with O'Connor's map theme so I'm taking a break to work on Mikey's.

 

And Leon, as much as I would love to help you out, I can't make myself do Jimmy Buffet. It's a long story as to why, but that specific song burns into my ears like a hot iron and working with it would drive me to the edge of insanity. I have a lot of bad memories associated with it.

 

Also, I don't know anything about MIDI.

I don't think I could get that sort of sound to come out of any of my programs. I usually have to write from scratch.

 

I'm not saying it isn't possible, but I don't really know much about music. I only know how to make original stuff on what I use, I don't play instruments or have a good foundation is music theory. I've never taken classes or anything like that.

I have finished O'Connor's map theme. It's a short loop, but it's as good as anything I use in my games. I have attached it to this post. I can also email it to you if there's a problem with it.

MIKEY! I finished Trio's Anthem of Sadness and will now being work on the next one. I like the way it turned out. I used a cello instead of the violin you asked for. I hope you don't mind.

Thank you for all the requests! Tomo! Yours looks very doable, and I should be able to accommodate O'connor without a problem. I was thinking about using a harp with the first one, so I can definitely change things up a bit.

 

Lastly, Ackuu, I don't usually have much luck with guitar OR drums but I'm happy to try.

 

I'm going to be up all night switching my sleep schedule so I should get something done today. (Got to wake up at 5am for a polygraph test for the police cadet program in about a week.)

I was unhappy with my first try, so I did it again completely differently. Not my best work, but I'll upload both of them.

 

Also, let me know if the volume is off for you, because it's easy for me to make songs louder or quieter.

I do like them (infact I can use them both.) However is their anyway you can get the second one to loop in a way that doesn't make it sound like it stops then starts again. It sounds awkward if used as battle music otherwise.

Preferred Instruments[Optional]: Piano, among other instruments. (I must really like the piano or something)

Piano mostly to be used during the end of the first one to act as the moment of sadness, but at the end of a second version, which needs to be more "sad" then the first version.

Inspiration: Darkness, Death, Despair, Dead kittens ( :( ). You know, the Apocalypse. The song's use is going to be for the Final Area of my game, so it basicly revolves around a "space-like" theme, but at the same time an "End-Of-The-World" theme.

I don't really want to give away to much about my game, so thats really all I can give. Hope this can give you a good start for it.

(Mind sending it to me through a PM, though. I kind of want this song to be part-promotion for the game itself, if you know what I mean ('cause I don't))
