CrimsonInferno 35 Report post Posted April 4, 2010 I like the Pokemon you made. They are so cute! Especially the fire type and as a Grass rabid fan, I have to say I like your grass design more than what the dumb shows have been throwing at the fans. :
Ravenclaw105 2 Report post Posted April 4, 2010 wait a minute... youre doing all custom pokemon? Yes. I comes up with the name, type and a couple of ideas. But full credits for the design of the Pokémon's goes to SilverSteel-Alchemis. I have a list of name and types of a total of 255 Pokémons, I have my ideas which I share with SilverSteel but she have free hands to make the design of the Pokémons. I though I could share another Pokémon for you =) This is a Ground/Fighting type Pokémon and it's evolved formed. Meart who is a Meerkat Pokémon who then evolves into Sweart. Here's some pictures: Meart Sweart Of course there will also be a couple of Pokémons from earlier games like Pikachu, Geodude, Machop, Abra etc etc. Also the return of 2 legendary Pokémons, Celebi and Deoxys. Thanks everyone for the feeadback, I sure hope this game will awake the interest from as many as possible, I will update this topic as the game progress. Thanks again. Dark Den 4 Report post Posted April 5, 2010 I'v got a question, is the battle system the same as pokemin games on the game boy ?
Ravenclaw105 2 Report post Posted April 5, 2010 Yes, even the graphics will look the same as those on GBA. I'll be using new battlers for the characters like the player and gym leaders. I will probably use Naramura's battlers, but I will remove their weapons. And the battle will be the same as the GBA games.
solshadow 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2010 Sounds and looks good so far, I will definitely be watching this
Ravenclaw105 2 Report post Posted May 26, 2010 Thank you =) The project is going slowly, but I don't have a deadline for it either so the Pokémon artist can work in whatever pace she needs ^^ Sorry for the wait but I will continue working on this along with my other projects whenever I can. Recent events have prevented me a lot but hopefully I can work more so I can reveal something from the game itself. Oh, I could need a map drawer as well. Someone willing to draw a map over the region, just like the map looks like in Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/FireRed/LeafGreen. Just contact me over PM so we can discuss more. Also, if you guys are interested, I could post the list of all Pokémon names and types that will be included. I have a list of all 255 Pokémons, their names and theyr types. Since I don't have a picture of them yet I can't show you exactly how they look, but you will get an idea of it. But I only post this if you guys are interested in it =)

Tomo2000 60 Report post Posted May 28, 2010 Wow. Can't believe I haven't posted here yet. I LOVE POKEMON. I love the sketches :) I remember having the same idea for a grass starter like yours, can't rememeber the names, but male and female were both different when they evolved at level 36. Out of the legendaries, Mariado sounds like my favourite. Good luck with your game.

FranklinX 37 Report post Posted May 29, 2010 How is the project going? I would like to see some screen shots in the future
Ravenclaw105 2 Report post Posted May 29, 2010 Thanks everyone =) The project is going very slow at the moment because of mostly personal reasons. Also, I would like to ask. Should I use the same tileset and graphics used for the other GBA Pokémon games like FireRed and LeafGreen or should I make a different game using the tileset and graphics from RMXP. Trainer battlers will have the Naramura battlers. Gizmo: Well, spriting the three starters might to be necessary. I won't need a charset of each Pokémon (thankfully) since there will only be a few visible outside as sprites. I don't think I will have any of the three starters visible on the map itself so I don't think I would need a charset of those. Of course, if this change I could always contact you if your still interested. But there will be others I could need, so your more then welcome to help out with this when I have recieved a battler for those =) Thanks for your offering. Ravenclaw105 2 Report post Posted May 30, 2010 i would say graphics like the new remak of gold and silver if possible. but leafgreen would be cool too!!! Well, the Pokémon Starter kit comes with graphics only from LeafGreen/FireRed. But I was wondering to keep using the graphics from RPG Maker XP, that way I can make the game darker and different from the other Pokémon games. But I haven't yet decided yet =) Im currently this far: There are ALOT of ruffled edges whom im gonna fix now, so dun worry, although this is basically how it will look, but ill shade it later. There are also unfilled spots whom i already fixed, sorry xDDDDD Uhm, I'm not quite following here. I though you were going to sprite, for me that mean making charsets of the Pokémons XD I already got the Pokémon Battlers so I really don't need more, the Pokémon Artist I got is very skilled and I rather stick with one Pokémon Battler Artist. =) Charsets are still needed, but I don't need charsets of the three starters. Sorry if I confused you.
gizmo00999 1 Report post Posted May 30, 2010 thats okay, btw, u should ask him to shade his drawings, else they look flat. That really is okay, my final product sucked anyway :D Sooo, i can make graphics for the game, like the starting scene, and web designs if ur ever gonna make one :P
Ravenclaw105 2 Report post Posted June 1, 2010 Hmm, I'll ask her about it. But it's her decision. Of course, if she can't or don't want to, you are free to shade the artwork she makes, but I must ask her first. That looks really good, well done on it =) As for graphics, I won't make a website for the game. And I currently don't know what kind of graphics I need since it's still in an early progress state. But I'll contact you whenever I could need anything graphic related ^__^ Thanks for showing your interest in this project.
Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted June 1, 2010 Looks awesome raven! My only suggestion is that you change the name, considering Soul Silver.
gizmo00999 1 Report post Posted June 5, 2010 Perhaps Mystic Sphere? Kinda goes with sphere, as spheres are usually mystic :D
Tomo2000 60 Report post Posted June 6, 2010 Also, I just realised something, you have to be 12 to start your pokémon adventure :biggrin_002: .

Ravenclaw105 2 Report post Posted June 7, 2010 Looks awesome raven! My only suggestion is that you change the name, considering Soul Silver. Thank you =) As for the name, I can't say anything at the moment what will happen with the name. I choose the name even before the release of SoulSilver and haven't had any ideas to change it yet. But the future will tell what I'll do. Perhaps Mystic Sphere? Kinda goes with sphere, as spheres are usually mystic :D Thanks for the suggestion, it will be concidered but at the time I don't know what I'll do with the name. Also, I just realised something, you have to be 12 to start your pokémon adventure :biggrin_002: . Well, I choose 10 and that is also the age of when Ash left on his adventure in the anime. I guess it's different from region to region and I'll stick with 10 =) this looks awsome! i cant believe your doing your own pokeman game with custom created pokeman :D cant wait until u release a demo in the far future Thank you, hopefully a demo will come in a near future but it's still unknown at the moment.
