evil cabbage 9 Report post Posted April 12, 2010 Hello everyone. I was wondering if you guys could tell me how good my laptop is, in terms of it's specs and whether those specs are outdated or not, etc. I got this PC for my birthday a few years ago, and the graphics card has blown twice on it about once every 10 months or so and if it burns out again, I get a new PC!) At the time that I got it, this computer was meant to be a "gaming PC", but now I am not so sure, seeing as the new family PC's score for gaming graphics is 6.0 (this new PC is not even supposed to be a gaming PC!) My Specs: HP Pavillion dv9700 notebook PC Windows 7 Home Premium (Upgraded from Windows Vista Ultimate) Intel Core Duo 2 CPU 4GBs RAM DirectX 11 NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS Realtek High Definition Audio Windows Experience Index: Processor: 6.1 Memory: 6.1 Graphics (Aero): 5.0 Gaming Graphics: 4.3 Hard Drive: 5.2 So are my specs outdated? Is this as good as you can get with a laptop?
