Need Accurate Advice ASAP

Question

Ok well so far i have a scene where two rivals battle and you have the choice to help either Saosin or Niko and if you choose Saosin you fight Niko and Vice Versa and after the battle the character you chose to side with leaves the room and asks you to follow. My Question is how do i make the chosen character appear to an adjacent room after the battle EX. you choose saosin he says: follow me and goes to the next room how do i get saosin to the next room automatically after i chose him.

Please email me here and my email Deadlydancerjosh@aol.com thank you for your time.

Hope you don't mind me posting here instead of the email, it's a bit hard to email.

Make 2 switches Saosin and Niko.

When Niko is chosen make Niko switch on.

When Saosin is chosen make Saosin switch on.

Make an event with 2 pages.

In first page choose 'Niko' switch is 'on'

In the second page choose Sasion switch is on.

In the first page add transfer player to a room where niko is inside.

In the second page add transfer player to another map with the same room which has Saosin in it.

I've got a demo if you can't understand

There's an easier way to do it.

Make two switches, like above, labeled Saosin and Niko. Also like above, set your scene so that if you choose to help Saosin, the switch "Saosin" is turned on, and if you choose to help Niko, the switch "Niko" is turned on instead.

Next, create an event in the room you'll be going to. Give it two pages. For the first page, give it Saosin's sprite, and set its Condition to "Switch: Saosin is ON." For the second page, give it Niko's sprite, and set its Condition to "Switch: Niko is ON." Then you can fill in each page with whatever you need its respective character to do in his version of the game.

For your first question:No, you can't move an event from one map to another. It's not like an event is really a specific person - it's just a little object that you've programmed to look and act like that person.

To make Saosin/Niko disappear from the first room, and to set your new event so the exchange can only happen once: Create your event page with the dialogue, movements, whatever you're sticking in it. At the end, insert the command "Control Self Switch A = ON." Create a new, blank page. Set its conditions to "Self Switch A = ON." If you want the character to be gone for good, leave the image blank - of course, they'll disappear as soon as the switch is flipped, which might look a little awkward. If you want them to stand there silently, or say something else, just continue to set up the second page the way you would any event.
