Waaaah! Make it stop! T_T

Recommended Posts

It happens randomly, and from what I can tell usually once a day. But Firefox crashes...that's it, just instantly closes out the windows and get that "unexpected error" thing. Dunno what the deal is, I've fully updated it...I wouldn't even know how to check if your suggestions work or not until it happens again. But still its annoying as heck, any ideas on what's causing it?

Unrelated random note, gotta say Jhen Mohran is awesome in Monster Hunter. XD

Never had this problem before and i only use firefox.

What add-ons do you have?(Take a screen shot of plugins and extensions)

Try reinstalling firefox.

I've had that error a few times. It's probably the site you were either last on, or Firefox overloaded (either one might do it) Try re-installing some firefox files and see what happens after that.

Yeah Pol (for some odd reason, lol) IM'ed me after replying and we talked, decided to a full un-installation and re-installed it. Gonna see if that does it, so far no more crashes...so keep this thread open for a couple of days until I'm sure its gone for good.

I dunno what it was really, maybe the add-ons, but definitely not the second thing, lol. My computer is quite fast. :P

It crashes on me sometimes as well. Once a week or twice a week is the normal. Have you ran a virus scan on your computer?

I have, I don't think its a virus...not sure what it is really that's causing it either.

Unless Mozilla is leading more towards Windows 7 and away from XP.

I noticed this only happening with people who have XP. I had 3 people call about this and they all had XP.

I'm using Vista and it only happened two times so far (only two times ever since I started using Firefox, which is about 2 years now, I think :P). But it hasn't crashed at all after a few scans and a defragment. Maybe Firefox has a few errors in it for the latest version, maybe.....

I think one of the sites I go to is causing it, but I can't figure out what exactly...ugh. T_T

I don't have any problems with that happening to me on my mac right now. THE problem I do have though is my Google search bar in the upper right corner won't work. I hit search or press enter and it does nothing. I have to actually use the address bar and go to Google's site.

Pssh I use it everyday like a million times. It's a life saver for me. Lately been a nuisance though.

Oh and for anyone that wants to try and troubleshoot. I have already tried the method of deleting Google's cookies and all cookies.

I had this problem but i have windows vista (no hate comments please haha).

But i only had this problem with the latest version of firefox. What i did is downgraded the version to a older one

(i believe it was 2.0 or something and it fixed it).

I dont use firefox anymore though i'm good with internet explorer.
