FranklinX 37 Report post Posted May 23, 2010 I have never completed a RPG Maker game before. I have played a few of the games. The games just do not keep me interested for a good period of time. The stories and game play just don't keep my eyes glued. There is excitement lacking with both. Maybe I tried some of the bad apples.
AbnormalHairGrowth 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2010 I've played a few, and it really depends on the game. A lot of them are either lackluster, uncreative, or both. I've seen games where the graphics are rips/recolors from two or three different Final Fantasy games, ones where the mechanics are dodgy or messy, ones with dialogue that reads like it was written by a twelve-year-old... However, I did play one game that really came through, and that was Visions & Voices. Aside from a few glitches, graphical weirdnesses and typos, the game came together very well. The system was clean and simple, the graphics were styled consistently, the plot was neat and interesting and - perhaps most importantly - the game didn't aspire to more than the creators were actually capable of. I played it, finished it, enjoyed it, and will probably play it again one day just to see if I can get 100% completion.
Polraudio 122 Report post Posted May 23, 2010 I played Master of the Wind for a very long time and almost beat it till my HDD went bye bye. I never completed a game yet but i will finish UT soon.
Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted May 23, 2010 Master of the Wind on XP was awesome, though it requires some level grinding. And The Way on RM2000 was fun as well. There are a few others I can't name right now.

Decadenttia 2 Report post Posted May 28, 2010 Unfortunately, the game I enjoyed most was just a demo. The Lost Sorceress (rmxp by Liam Kelly). I've tried other projects but I got tired soon because of their 5-years-old-dialogues. I have no problem with the topics (my father is dead, the villian was sealed ages ago..) if the game has an interesting story and characters with personality. And... I WANT to play rpg maker games in wich the main character is a woman.
madanchi 18 Report post Posted May 30, 2010 I've never completed any rpg maker game, most of them had bad english skills, bleek boring levels and a mysterious something that just put me off
ProjectTrinity 8 Report post Posted June 14, 2010 I hope 15+ days doesn't make it a necropost just yet! I've actually released a few games, with two of them..."playable". =p And one of them was playable enough for people to beat and playthrough it more than once. (Go friends! XD) As for how many I have beaten, not many, sadly. ^^;; But Masters of the Wind was one I wanted to try to beat since it was overall VERY well done. Far better than my skill level. ;_;
