A simple quick question

Question

This feels like such a waste of a topic, but, I'd like to clear soemthing up about rmxp.

- are you able to have more then 4 animations of an auto-tile? It'd make things a lot easier if so but if not, then would a script be possible to do it? - I'd start learning the code

I wish there was a general chat topic or something to put this in :/

thanks in advance :)

There is a General Discussion but this is the right place for support for RPG Maker XP.

Pretty much all the autotiles you can in resource sites don't have more than four frames, and all of the default ones are one or four frames, but I've heard various RMXP users mention that it isn't the limit.

Here's one topic among them: http://www.hbgames.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6229&start=0

You can try to make one yourself, but to answer your question, four is the "limit". At least thats whats common.

Hope that helps. ^_^

ahh yeh it did thanks :) I can do more than just 4 and I found that you have to keep adding them in a row rather than a column

hmm another Q whilst this topic is recent

I know there's a script for running when pressing a certain key but, is there a script to change the players sprite when that key is pressed? for example: when the running key is pressed, it changes the sprite to a running sprite as well as increasing speed. if no then I'll most likely have to request it some time in the future

You should make new topics for new questions so that they will be easier to find for people who are tring to finbd the answer to the same problem. Also so that you don't have to break the double post rule.

As for the question, you don't need a script for that. Just use the button input processing event command. Tomo2000 has some tutorials on that command in his class.
