Who is more shallow men or women?

Men and Women have their standards for the opposite sex set for them by social rules, but individually we have our own standards.

 

Men are not as shallow as people see us as. There are men who like slender, fat, curvy, chubby, and many other types of sizes. Some men like small boobs believe it or not. There are men who like booty. I'm black and I am not a booty man. There are breast men, ass men, leg men, feet men, etc. Men are so much diverse when it comes to a woman's body. One woman who looks ugly to a lot of men by actually be very attractive to at least a decent looking guy. Social status is not a problem for men unless she is way at the bottom of unacceptable to everybody. Look at male celebrities and the women they cheat on their wives with. Most of these women are of a lower social class. This makes all women beautiful and sexy in their own way.

 

Women are very shallow. Unlike men, women care a lot about social status. Men with lower social statuses are not often wanted by a woman of a higher social status. Also women are not diverse when it comes to physical looks. They want men with muscles or to be tone then fat guys come next because there are not enough built guys to go around. Slender men like myself are not normally wanted.

The largest population of shallow people, are men. There are the women who are shallow -- people from Orange Country, California (not all, of course :D) and other rich places -- but then, when you watch TV, you can see who are the most shallow. Men.

The largest population of shallow people though, are men, proven by scientists, statistics and real-life women generally having more cases of bad treatment because of it.

 

Women weren't designed to go after looks, but a nice, healthy, strong man (not strong like looks) and someone who could treat her nice. Just because girls don't smile at you (that said person) does not mean they are shallow. I'm not shallow and I don't smile at other men -- that's 'cause I'm shy or I didn't notice them, or because where I live they are creepy, perverted 47 year old men who raped children and take drugs, but that's another case.

 

For me and a lot of women (most women, of course)look for character: a nice smile, a good, strong, healthy life, great relationship with their parents, love children and so on. There aren't a lot of women who care for actual looks, is what I'm saying. There are more so, of said men....

Honestly I think everyone in this thread is wrong. Men are not more shallow then women, and women are not more shallow then men. It's a equal situation. For every guy that likes a girl with a big ass, there's a girl that likes a guy with a big dick. I do not feel one is better then the other.

Its in our blood -- both male and female -- to seek the strongest, fastest, smartest, brightest, most colorful partner. We're just animals, after all. Is that really true? How you know she hasn't seen his before the relationship? Or even still he could have a erection in a public place which depending on clothe or how he is sitting, she could see it then to. We could touch bases on something else you said earlier Franklin. Girls like guys with muscles and such. How does she know what he looks like right away? Me I wear over-sized clothes, you never can tell really unless I got a tank top on or no shirt. I've often been mistakened by a lot of people and have got into a lot of fights for that reason. One time I remember one girl on a school bus told me I was fat, and her friend next to her goes no he's not (because she has seen me without shirt). Both genders have their own ways of being shallow, big dick, big ass, big boobs, skinny - which, when you think about it, isn't even really being shallow it is having personal preferences. I mean, really when you think about it, I don't like dating big woman, so I'm shallow? Come on! It's almost as if the entire meaning of being shallow is warped because Susie it a little overweight and Tommy wouldn't date her, so her mom says, "Honey, he's just shallow little bastard." NO! @Crimson: I understand that you were on the debate team, and they like to provide statistics to prove a point, but you gotta really look into the research of statistics.

For example: there was a study showing that the Nintendo DS game Brain Age, does not make you smarter. Okay, well, anyone with a brain knew that, but it can be agreed upon that Brain Age does keep your brain stimulated. You don't get smarter from doing Sudoku all day. Or how about all those studies that *proves* video games make you violent, or on the other side of the coin, prove that they don't? Why are there two studies proving contrary results? Because these people are bias and bend the rules of the scientific method to get the result they so desire.

 

And finally, I remember listening to a talk show where they pulled a UK Science Research that say the radiation emanating from a cell phone makes it harder to sleep. Okay, well that research project seems to be ignoring other variables. I don't know about you, but when I have a phone conversation, I normally review everything that was said. That sounds like something that would stimulate consciousness.

And I feel this is Wyzrd's point, you can't make these conclusions based on half-assed faulty research. And you can't allow these studies to become societies totalitarian perception on matters . Things are not black and white, and the complexity of each and every given' situation must be respected.

 

The debate team is very black and white, so I'm empathic. They need to cut down on the, "Here is a topic, it does or doesn't."

I've been reading the topic...and I gotta side with Ark & Wyz. I can be shallow because I like a girl who's not to big, her ass isn't that large and her boobs aren't either. Shallowness comes from preference. As has been pointed already: We are animals by nature. We choose who we feel is the best of the bunch and mate with them to reproduce.

 

However a person is made to think, look, act, and feel is how they are. Trying to change yourself into something you're not is just lying to yourself. You like what you like and if that makes you "shallow" to some people, their preferences are different than yours.

I like to get back to my main point to why men are not shallow and women are. I took two years in psychology. There cannot be a relationship or just sex without physical attraction with the exception of paying for it. Like I said earlier men are very diverse as they are into slender girls, chuvy girls, fat girls, big tits, small tits, big ass, little ass, short hair, long hair, legs, feet, eyes, etc. Every woman in the world is sexy because there is a man for every woman. Women do not have such a long list of physical attraction standards. They like muscles, tone guys, and some fat guys. A few women do look at a man's ass. So who does this leave out? Slender guys are left out. There are some men who find a deformed chick to be sexy because she is unique in her own special way. Women will overlook a deformed in a heart and I know this personally by being rejected by every girl in middle school, high school, and college. Rejection is not just asking someone out. It is also when someone has zero interest in you from start or simply shows no interest. It's like when us guys are hanging out and see a chick who we have no interest in so we do not make a move and may not give her any attention.

Just because girls have less options to choose from than guys do to girls, does not make them more shallow.

Women also look for the men with the best genes for their children, and this goes back to looks. By being attractive people in general believe someone has good genes to produce more attractive and healthy people, but this is proven wrong. These men can produce attractive and unattractive people. Men do not think about women's genes and their future children. Deformed people in general have problems attracting people just because of being deformed in a minor or major way. Men regardless of their looks are much more tolerate and accepting of a woman being deformed in any way. I have seen plenty of deformed girls get decent guys. Women who are midgets are found attractive by a few men who are not midgets. However, men who have deformities are not tolerated in normal circumstances.
