How would you like for this to work?

Recommended Posts

Now, bear with me on this.

I want the main character to be able to recruit demons.

...

...

...

...But! Never fear, for it makes sense...somewhat. Considering how the main character is an antagonist (Though the game will also feature morality- and an alignment system), and angels and demons will be in it, I think it fits. (God and Lucifer, too.) This won't be religious- I'm not religious-, it'll simply feature these types of characters. Depending upon your alignment, you can kill either one of 'em.

Anyway, I'm a bit skeptical on this whole "Demon-Recruitment" thing. Should I have a personality test at the beginning, which determines the Main Character's Parter/Demon/Daemon? or do any of you have a different idea for a "System' or something?

Furthermore, is the whole idea dumb- a waste?

Which one can you kill? It's not very clear. :sweatdrop:

I don't understand why there is a morality meter if the main character is evil. If you want a morality meter then give the player the option of being good or evil. There is no need for this meter if the character is just evil.

As in for battle?

I think it sounds pretty awesome, but it shouldn't be a choice to the player if he's going to be a bad guy from the start. IMO anyways.

I also don't think a personality test thing would work in a game where the player is going to be the antagonist. That ususally entails being able to join the dark side or light side, which is not the case in this game, right?

There's my two cents. ^_^

"...you can kill either one of 'em."

Kill God? <_<

Both. The one that you kill is dependent.

He's not evil intentionally- he's just...naive. Not necessarily that, either, but it's complicated. If you're really interested, I would gladly explain the beginning.

That would depend. If there's only one main demon that he would have as a 'partner", then it would be an ally to do battle with him, as well as talk with him and what not. If I decided to make it where you could get more than one, but only have one at an instance, or something, it would be too much work to make every demon that you can "befriend" talk with MC, and give him advice depending on the situation.

I also don't think a personality test thing would work in a game where the player is going to be the antagonist. That ususally entails being able to join the dark side or light side, which is not the case in this game, right?
Well, if you're going to take the "Good" route, let's call it for now, then your character would no longer be an antagonist, and would help god kill Lucifer and would just overall...no longer be an antagonist. It works vise versa, too.

Don't let the "Kill god- Kill Lucifer"-type thing sway you of thinking highly of the plot, as there will be more to it; It's not that far in its planning stages.

Kill god?
Of course! What could possibly be better?

That's kinda' religiously offensive.

And God wouldn't need help killing Lucifer. :P

I don't see how it could be offensive- it was sarcasm, and wasn't like I said that he deserved it. And, IMHO, anyone would gets offended over a game, needs to have some more self-esteem. I don't mean to sound rude, it's just my opinion.

And God wouldn't need help killing Lucifer.

What brings you to that conclusion? Lucifer is a fallen angel- he is obviously at least as strong as god if he wasn't already killed, no?

I'm just saying that you might not want to get too religious with your storyline because some people might be offended. It doesn't matter how something is offensive as long as it offended someone, right?

Anyways, I'd rather not discuss this here and ruin your topic. ^_^ If you feel compelled to continue this "debate" we can do so via PM.

Well, you're correct, but it's not going to be religious. I see what you mean, though.

To change subjects;
