Your new character reminds me of two things: a mage and a Elf. :)

I mainly go with my gut feeling, if it looks good to me then on i go ^^.

 

I added the last wip (almost complete frontal now) i will show to the top post folks :), she's looking a little like a commoner crossed with a elf mage now.. XD oh well looks good to me.

Added a frontal for the Obese template to top folks, i will focus on this before i continue on the character, then after the character i continue on tileset ;)

I feel this edit to the Soldier needs a bump because i want you folks to have the best look ^^

 

I made a change to the gloves (more noticeable on front and back frames, worked on all frames though) which just makes the whole character look better than before, please replace the other with this one.

Not much time for spriting today, i did finish the obese female though, i also edited a few pixels for the back frames of the obese male, you may not notice them but please replace it anyway.

It would have felt incomplete without obese body types, and hey now i look forward to seeing some obese heroes for a change.

Not every main character has to be fit and good looking :D

Forgive my silence folks, i've been a busy man but i'm still working hard whenever i get the chance :)

I have added a completed side frame for the Elf Mage, let me know if you see anything wrong there please.

 

Actually i may add an eye patch to her,... or something more, too plain looking for a special character.

Great idea pal :D, in the past i created an evil magician (never completed) on another template and i added a mark on the forehead, i think i will do this for the her.

I wont kill her eye in the end ;)

Character update-

I have finished the back frame, which did not take me as long as i thought it would.

Also worked on the hair more, that hair you see behind the ears (front and side) is still the same but i changed it to look more.. 3d-ish looking.. don't have a word for it but believe me it just looks better now ^^

And last but not least i've lightened and slightly increased the saturation of the base color for her dress some more.

 

Ah and i also made this a sort of backless dress, should make for a sexy looking elf ;)

Getting close to finishing the female elf (need 1 more frame, then off to test and tweak) so i added a wip for the 3rd character, only hair so far.

I'm going to be making a few changes to the template which you folks might like better.

This is just a -heads- up because i will start replacing the older look soon, save those in case you don't like this new one (doubt you will though ^^).

 

Yeah i'm back at it again, but doing a bit of temp work for now :D

 

I will also be editing the complete characters to fit this slight edit.

And the heads with mouth and noses are a little useless so i will be getting rid of those too, it's just some easy pixel additions that anyone can do, so no need for copy paste you know?

All complete, just have to test something out before i upload 'em.

 

The biggest change were to the heads of the male and female, i mainly shrunk the head down for them, and obese male and female only got a little edit to the jaw area but pretty much remain the same, except for some small details no one may notice.

This change really makes the templates look better as a whole, because the obese body types look much more different from the smaller sized male and female now, i also edited the head of the kid a bit, but not much changed otherwise (got rid of big ears and fixed the eyes ^^).
