Entering a name

Hi...How do you enter the "desired" name of a word in rmxp...you know...like "What year were you born?"...and I have to type 1993....Like a Question and answer..I did find the option for entering the characters but I can't get it work like that though I've been messing around with variables and switches... :( Please help!

I'm not quite sure what you mean.

 

 

You want to have questions where you have to get the right answer?

 

Or do you want to be able to store the main character's information to use later in the story?

 

Both are easy, just tell me which. ^_^

Okay here ya' go: Download Player Input Demo.

 

The Penguin event and the events with the "N" graphics are the ones with the actual input event stuff. The other ones are... hehe. Play the demo first. Then go inside and look at all my comments. They are a tutorial on how to make everything work.

Edit: Just though I should mention this, there's a lot of strobe lights. Those with epilepsy should definitely stay away or just not talk to the wizard.

Okay thanks to isaacsol I just realized that the answer to the second question is technically wrong. :<

 

Potassium is actually 19, and CARBON is 6.

 

So yeah, for all you who actually KNEW the answer, thats why you're wrong.

Im going to make a script where you answer questions like Age, Sex, Name, Height, etc. once you hit new game and it will be put in your status screen. Going to be hard but be fun.
