Looking for open ended games

Does anyone know any good open ended games like dwarf fortress, freelancer discovery and transcendence ? if you do know some please post them below :alright:

their not really open ended just the third one is and its crap compared to the other two(its good if you never played gothic before)

By opened ended i mean there is no real story to follow just a back story if you want to complete the game, instead you fight trade etc. Another example is Mount and Blade Warband
