A more recent look at the tree, if you saw the last you will notice that the trunk is now longer and i've worked on it a little more.

More to do on tree, working on grass too now.

 

I will also upload the tileset in sections along with the passage settings ;)

Thanks guys, i will be finishing the tree soon and then i will begin work on some basic items like barrels and pots before getting to the house wall.

The normal grass looks a little bit too much like tall grass.

I really love that I'm getting a SNES/Nes feel from it. That is my favorite genre of gaming! I wanted my game to look that way :)

I will create the leafless tree and work my way from there then.

 

 

Snow sounds good, still need to add houses and such to this one but when i'm done i'll work on that, never worked with snow before but it doesn't look too hard.

Some small things added to tileset (not yet uploaded), weeds and a hole for the grass.

I also got rid of the yellowish looking grass color because the other just looks better.

Oh, well maybe after this town/tileset, a snow village/mountain? That would be nifty, not a lot of that out there...plus, I plan on using this (lol) and my game has a snow town. :rolleyes:

Will you be making one with a hollow hole in it? Will you be making flowers and various other plants as well?

Yup! I will be working on all of that ^^, though at the start i will keep it simple, one or two flowers and such.

I was wondering. If I used your template, how could I get it to resemble a remotely close look like yours? Colour wise, I mean. Whenever I try to sprite, I always end up using 4-5 different shades >.> I see yours and I can only spot about 3... lol

I will start adding the color palette for the characters i make, that may help you guys out i think.

I will add the golden soldier colors later today.

Please replace the last tileset with this one because i also made some small changes here and there on the tree leaf area and other places.
