Rook 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2010 Lately I have been posting on ten, count them, TEN different forums, looking for a composer and a scripter for my game. On every single one of them I have noticed that there is a significant thing pestering me, that is useless posts. I don't like posting a topic asking for a scripter, supplying and image of what I would like done to see if it is doable, and coming online the next day to see fifty posts about how good my art is. No. That is not what that forum is for, if you have comment on my art post in the right topic or send me a PM, what you posted has nothing to do with staying on topic and therefore is SPAM. I also don't like forums with chat boxes on them, because I ask a serious question and it just gets burried in a cascade of LOL, and OMG, and I eat joo, and so on. I just wanted to point of that it happens all the time and after six months I have still not gotten ANY help because people just post for the heck of it I think. What I want is a scripter and a composer, not a reviewer, comment on the project, comment on the art by all means but do it in the appropriate area and the appropriate manner. Marked 197 Report post Posted July 6, 2010 I haven't requested resources for an RPG game for a few years, but I know what it's like getting no support. There's a really popular website software that is opensource, and the support is dreadful. I'm not saying that I'm a programmer or anything, but I had to learn php, mysql and the rest just because I couldn't get any support. I found that the medium sized RPG Maker sites were pretty good for requests. At the moment (to imply it will change) its quite pointless to request scripts/compositions, or any other resource for that matter on this forum. However I would like to think that a lot of the spam replies are avoided here. If not, just send me the link :)
Polraudio 122 Report post Posted July 6, 2010 Thats 1 reason i dont request stuff. I find it easier to try to make use of what you got. Thats the easiest way to learn also.

We need more talented people who can contribute more to the site.
