Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted July 21, 2010 So I was looking for a fictional map generator on the net and found this site that sells a verity of products that can help you create fictional maps (color, black and white). From world maps, cities, dungeons, etc. Now of course sadly it is not FREE; in fact if you bought their WORLD Package it would cost you $600+. ANy way thought I would share the link...oh and you can even create fictional maps that work kind of like Google maps does: http://www.profantasy.com/default.asp I plan on spending the $600+ because this will help in my world building for my novels. rgangsta 43 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 That's a real hefty price. It does look like good, though.
Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 Well they sell them individualy ranging from $100 to $35 (USD). So if you added them up $600+ is a nice deal...if you had the money.
Dark Den 4 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 600 $!!! thats alot no way i can buy that, seems gud though maybe u could post if u find some free ones

Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 lol I'd rather buy them separately. I didn't do the math but it might come out cheaper. Well I did, it come to like $800+ so you could save $200. Also I watched some of their tutorials, looks easy. I bet you could even make a huge map, export it as an image and the manually make it a tileset.
rgangsta 43 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 $800?! :shok: Though, Making the pictures as tilesets would be useful, especially since I'm working on a world map.

Yes, around $800, but that's if you buy their main software's and extra resource packs. I plan on getting it, but not to make tilesets. But who knows when I get it, maybe I'll take requests. rgangsta 43 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 Cool. I could use some world maps for my games so the player can know his/her way around. :biggrin_002:
CrimsonInferno 35 Report post Posted July 23, 2010 800? It would take less amount of time and money to make it yourself...
Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted July 23, 2010 800? It would take less amount of time and money to make it yourself... Not everyone is a skilled at using a paint/photo editor.
Agckuu_Coceg 5 Report post Posted July 23, 2010 I would gladly take that, but for 600$? This is the same for our people a lot of money! Is there anything cheaper and with similar quality?
rgangsta 43 Report post Posted July 23, 2010 I'll do some Google searchin'.
Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted August 3, 2010 I'll do some Google searchin'. You find anything? I mostly found useless stuff.
Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted September 5, 2010 I started buying this stuff. Will try it and post any maps I make. I mostly bought it to make black and white maps found in most Fantasy novels. I did this because it will give me a better idea on how to describe places, come up with all the name before I write (or in this case continue to). I decided to buy the following (may buy more, but for now this will do as I need it): 1) Campaign Cartographer 3 ( Main Software, required to buy) 2) City Designer 3 (add on) 3) Fantasy Overland ( http://www.profantasy.com/products/ss1.asp ) 4) Fantasy Floor Plan ( http://www.profantasy.com/products/ss2.asp ) All of them cost me: $134.80 (USD)

Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted September 5, 2010 To be honest I'd rather pay because I get faster support when logged in on my account. Plus free updates and bug fixes which would be a lack of with a cracked version.
Dark Den 4 Report post Posted September 6, 2010 I never used bug fixes or anything even if i have the original versions. The patches were mostly too big to download <_<
