I think the site should focus on ALL game making programs. XP in the name tells people "oh no it is a site for only one program".

 

I think we should also shift to a new direction in means of a dev site. I think this has a 95% chance of everything going very very well.

Total new domain name. What would it be tho?

 

Hm...I don't know, maybe something with "community" in it? I always loved sites with the word "community" in it. It should how friendly they are ^.^

 

Maybe I could beat my sister up until she makes so awesome banners? Or advertisement banners?

If we were making a dev forum, what dev software would we have on the forum ?

 

We should just stick with gaming. I don't think we should make such a huge change to all software. If that is done then there will not be a good amount of people to help each other. Too many experts in different fields will equal in less results.

Maybe. I mean, i like the look of it. Maybe not? Its a nice forum :)

 

As for scripts... and i shouldn't say this.. but I made the scripts archives so members can submit scripts easily and quickly. By going here. Although since this isn't on the forum there really isn't any community interaction, so submitting the scripts would making the forum more popular, but only with leeches who will not post or contribute back here...

 

 

At a minimum RPG Maker VX. I didn't really mean scrap XP entirely, but to move on from it. I don't think we should move away from the programs we've been about from the beginning, so I think we should stick with RPG Makers (at a minimum). As for other game makers, I'm willing to introduce whatever to the forum as long as its something that will work and be developed. Personally I will not be working with any game makers again, which makes this kind of decision tricky to make as admin.

 

If the site gets based only on programming then most probably i will leave :(

 

 

 

 

I must agree with them Marked. I mean rmxp.org changed their domain name to better suit multi platforms. Lets discuss this, post name/domain name ideas, for Marked to read and consider.

Hey. I said in my last post we would not deviate from RPG Maker.

 

Also, i dont care about making money. There is absolutely no way that I could ever make a decent amount of money from ads on a website. I have tested this. Economically, the amount of time i spend making a website that popular is far far worth spending at a job. For example, by my nearly accurate calculations: 2 months of unintrusive ads on rmxpunlimited = 1hr of labor.

I was thinking of the same thing. But I think it's called RMXPU is because a majority of us use RMXP. Though a name change would invite more people in because it shows that we offer different platforms other than RMXP. :alright:

That's true because I remember the forum that redirected me here closed down. I don't know why exactly but it was an RMXP forum too. I'm glad this forum hasn't closed yet and I hope it never does. I love you guys :dragonhug:

Very true, I have been on 3 communities that focused on RMXP/VX and a few years latter closed. Plus rmxp.net/org also changed to hbgames to fill this need for poeple using more then one as well as expanding their options.

That still says RMXP and RMVX; RPG Maker itself is known to be made by Enterbrain so your idea is flawed with in itself.
