0 Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted August 6, 2010 Vintage try this: http://www.filefactory.com/file/b2e33c3/n/sample.zip Just look at how the events are set up.
0 Chief 30 Report post Posted August 6, 2010 A screenshot would be nice, so we could see more clearly what youre asking for, but anything can be made a "door" with the 'teleport' event. its easy to set up, if its what youre asking for.

0 Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted August 6, 2010 loll.. once again, same problem. Is from old version of RPGXP so therfore cannot open it.. :/ bummah. I have the new version of RMXP and you should have posted a screen shot in the first place cause your explanation was horrible. Seeing your screen shot and you better description the sample would not have helped you any way.
0 Vintage_Lolkats 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2010 Thats what i get when i try(ed) to open both this one ad the other ones you posted for the other topic.. n yeahh, i'm really not good at describing things lol
0 Chief 30 Report post Posted August 6, 2010 it should jsut be a teleport event. I cant guide you through it atm, because I dont have it on my newly rebooted PC, but it should be simple.
0 Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted August 6, 2010 Does it look like the teleport or just a smooth walk through (like walking through an opening)?
0 Vintage_Lolkats 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2010 looks like just walking through an opening
0 Chief 30 Report post Posted August 6, 2010 I think you can have telleport with no extra stuff, like just putting you over on the other side.
0 Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted August 6, 2010 I think you can have telleport with no extra stuff, like just putting you over on the other side. Well if I think what I think it is, then I don't think it uses teleportation. @Vintage_Lolkats Do you have a download link of the game/file?

0 Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted August 6, 2010 You probably have 1.02a. That's why you can't ope Do you want to know how to make a door in general, or how they are in the "January" screenshot? I can make a tutorial if you want.
0 Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted August 7, 2010 theres the game http://www.megaupload.com/?d=63KQMPAM but didnt come with game file That's not the game. There is no way a game would have come with just that, because no one would be able to open it. The WHOLE game file is needed: The part in red may or may not be in it and is not needed. You probably have 1.02a. That's why you can't ope Do you want to know how to make a door in general, or how they are in the "January" screenshot? I can make a tutorial if you want. I don't think this is a door. I believe it is just a passage through a wall. If so then a door tutorial probably is not needed, but he might ask later so might as well. 0 Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted August 7, 2010 Well if you want to copy what that guy did, you shouldn't it. I looks bad. Do this:
0 Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted August 7, 2010 Well if you want to copy what that guy did, you shouldn't it. I looks bad. You really can't copy something that is part of real life architect. Most Openings in a wall have any where from 1-2 feet of structure at the top of the opening.
0 Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted August 7, 2010 Real life architecture? It's an RMXP map.
0 Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted August 7, 2010 Real life architecture? It's an RMXP map. So I was just pointing out it would not be copying, but I like your map better. Looks neater.
0 Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted August 7, 2010 Oh. Well I wasn't accusing him of plagiarism, I was saying that he shouldn't copy it because it looked bad.
0 Vintage_Lolkats 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2010 ok then thanks.. erm, one more question that i will try and describe more acuratly :P.. I want to insert a billboard that the character can walk up to, press enter and it display information. 0 Polraudio 122 Report post Posted August 7, 2010 To open a project in an earlier version open your game project file up in notepad and change the 1.04 to 1.02 then save it and wala it now opens in an earlier version of RMXP. if you dont have notepad there you can always go to notepad and open the file from there. Make sure to have all files selected. Hope this helps opening Kage's Project or anyones who has 1.04. 1 madanchi reacted to this

You see, RMXP doesn't know that the graphic you chose was a sign. It assumes that it's a character. When you talk to a character that isn't facing you, it turns towards you, doesn't it? To prevent this for your sign events, select direction fix: This will prevent it from "facing" you. ^~^
