Solar Power In Devices

Recommended Posts

I thought of a great idea but like great ideas i might not be the only one with this one.

Do you hate searching for a power cord or spot to charge your devices?

Well with my great idea you dont have to. With solar panels in all your devices just find a spot in the sun and wala it will be charging. Perfect for if you are going for a long trip or if you get stranded in the middle of nowhere. If there is sun out you will never have to look for a charger again. Laptops, cell phones, camera, gaming devices, etc. You name it, it will have a solar panel built in.

Only downfall would be power requirements. But all you will have to do is turn the device off and let it charge so it uses no power and can charge the battery.

Sound like a good idea and would you buy a device with one in it?

It is a great idea, but from what I understand, solar cells which store the energy don't store much. Plus, it has to be sunny, or at least mostly sunny. The last down side is the size of the solar panel would affect the speed of the charge. It works for watches and calculators because it takes little to charge them; but for such devices as laptops and new-age cell phones, the power requirement is much higher.

I love this idea, don't get me wrong. I just hope technology moves in this direction. Could have a huge impact on the world.

Yea thats real and it works but i mean built right in. Like the whole lid of a laptop is a solar panel and is connected to the laptop as one product. Thats a nice temp way to do it.
