Hey. I was board and i figured since i like riddles, ill start a little post for telling and answering riddles.

Only one rule: No profanity(please).

 

 

 

I'll start with the first riddle:

 

What has an eye that cannot see?

I've heard this one before. A needle.

 

 

Here's mine:

 

Three friends check into a motel for the night, and the clerk tells them the bill is $30. So, they each pay the clerk $10 and go to their room.

 

A few minutes later, the clerk realizes he has made an error and over charge the trio by $5. He asks the bellhop to return $5 to the friends who had just checked in.

 

The bellhop sees this as an opportunity to make $2 as he reasons that the three friends would have a tough time dividing $5 evenly among them: so he decides to tell them that the clerk made a mistake of only $3, giving a dollar back to each of the friends.

 

He pockets the leftover $2 and goes home for the day! Now, each of the three gets a dollar back, thus they each paid $9 for the room which is a total of $27 for the night.

 

We know the bellhop pocketed $2 and adding that to the $27, you get $29, not $30 which was originally spent. Where did the other dollar go?

The actual price of the room for each person is $8.33. The remaining "dollar" is split up and put into the $9 each spent for the room still making them overpay their stay.

 

Here's my riddle.

 

Make 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 turn into 100 only using two pluses ( + ) and two minuses ( - ). You can only use one number once.

 

 

 

123 + 45 = 168

168 - 67 = 101

101 + 8 = 109

109 - 9 = 100

My riddle:

 

You are a very very tall school bus driver on the way to pick up a few students.

At the first stop, 6 students board the bus.

At the second stop, 8 students board the bus.

At the third stop, 2 students exit the bus and 4 more get on.

At the last stop, the rest of the students exit the bus.
