First and foremost, I am sick of people bating for racist debates, racist remarks, and setting the 'race card' in motion.

I don't give a rat's a$$ if you are black, white, asian or even purple; knock it off. This site isn't to discuss Lincoln,

MLK, Malcolm X, or Ho Chi Minh. This is a site for people to get along. Not promote their own race as better than the others or say things aren't equal.

You want to know something funny? How do you feel right now? This is how other people might feel when you make racial or sexual topics. People will feel singled out and become angered.

 

And Allen, sure we have free speech but if someone wants to have their voice heard, they don't have to go around with a nasty tone and harassing people. In my History class, I learned about something like this during WWII I think. When there was a draft for the army, a guy began a propaganda to stop the draft. True it was free speech but it put people in danger because if no one goes out to fight, then they're screwed. So the U.S. allowed the free speech, as long as there is no "clear and present danger" meaning as long as it doesn't hurt someone or something. You can make a topic but how you present it is what counts.

 

This is my last post about my thoughts. I don't want to be part of this war.

RKO was pissed off because Leon also mentioned race-based threads that RKO made in the past, therefore he had every reason to respond with disagreement. And to be quite frank, his points are more valid than anyone supporting Leon's side.

 

Another thing: No one is trying to take over this damn site. A member pointed out that another staff member was following a rule that was not included in RMXP Unlimited's rules section. Period.

Double posting isn't allowed though, guys. Its just not. Its spammy and you call always "edit" your posts. I'm pretty sure Kiriashi didn't attack the double poster for his first or second double post, because sometimes the serve makes you double post. But if you keep double posting...its the staff's job to correct and keep the order. The forum has rules for a reason :/

 

I can see how all the racist threads can be a problem too. When ever I see many threads about slavery, racism and sexism and it just keeps popping up, it makes me feel really bad and that that person who made the thread, has a problem with me for my race, gender and what happened in the past. It makes me feel bad and hated....

 

Although, a few debate threads here and there aren't a problem, because sometimes its healthy to debate over such things. And, debate threads on sexism/racism/anything else, might just help stop it on the forum or someplace else -- sometimes its needed. But, a part of me wants to say this: constant racist stuff...can scare people away, make them feel really bad and make them feel unwanted or unliked.

 

If that made sense. I could rephrase, but it would probably come out wrong (dyslexic >.>)

I wasn't calling you racist. We're (the few here) are trying to say the constant race related threads can be a problem, they start things and it comes off racist if the threads are made in a constant manner. That's all I meant :(

Not to you though, Rated. We are talking about it in general -- not just you. We're not saying you are racist, at least I'm not, I'm saying it (not you)can come off that way with all the race related, gender related threads. We are saying constant threads can cause a problem. I could show you a forum where it is a big problem. I think Leon was trying to say the threads are very...instigating and very proactive looking. I think he knows you aren't racist and you weren't doing it on purpose, he's just mentioning how it comes off with all the race related threads and how so far, it has caused fights. He just wants it to slow down a bit, not so many threads.

I find it extremely offensive when you post anything about the differences in race, even when its not about Caucasians. Your DBZ topic about "slavery" was utter rubbish. You feel that there is a connection between a cartoon and the history of Slavery? Its a damned cartoon. Man up, and find something else to talk about.
