Ecowolfsteen 14 Report post Posted October 16, 2010 Hey there! Some of you may know, like Kiriashi or Pol, I have a netbook, which cannot run RMXP. Today, I posted on CA, which I am now a active member of, and someone gave me this: http://cherrytree.at/cms/download/?did=15 This is a tool that fakes res size to bypass the RMXP standards, so now I have RMXP back and running again and am ready to continue my projects. The only problems I found, was with the Script editor, It's too long, and I can't see the OK button or get all the way down to MAIN. Also, with the event editor I can't press OK or APPLY, I have to deselect everything and press enter. Oh well, I'm not heart broken. I'm so happy!
Polraudio 122 Report post Posted October 24, 2010 Nice eco. Glad you got it working. Better than using my way of a vitrual computer.
Ecowolfsteen 14 Report post Posted October 24, 2010 Lol, yeah. Funny thing is... My dad just hooked that old computer up to the TV so I can use RMXP the right way again. I'm kind of agitated. xD.
Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted October 24, 2010 Haha, thats awesome. Nice find. As for the OK button, press enter. And for main, click Scene_End or whatever is the lowest one you can click, and the press the down arrow key to get to the script you want. Here's a shortlist for the rest just in case you need it. ... ... ... Scene_End Scene_Battle 1 Scene_Battle 2 Scene_Battle 3 Scene_Battle 4 Scene_Shop Scene_Name Scene_Gameover Scene_Debug Main
Ecowolfsteen 14 Report post Posted October 25, 2010 (edited) Thanks, I doubt I'm going to be doing any Game Dev on this netbook anymore though. I have the computer hooked up to my TV, and I just installed Win7 Ultimate and am now installing OS10 on the PC. Lol. EDIT: Also, Kiriashi, since you haven't seen some of my work in a while, here is a map I made in a few minutes. I also have a netbook (an eeepc to be exact) and i can run RMXP perfectly fine. all you have to do is adjust your resolution to 1024x768.
Ecowolfsteen 14 Report post Posted November 17, 2010 No, that won't work on Windows 7 starter edition. Sucks.
laansolo 3 Report post Posted November 18, 2010 I have a netbook, and all I had to do was simply change the screen resolution. Here's how: Right click on the main desktop. Go to graphics options, go to the second tab, then change you're resolution. You might not have the same type of Netbook I have, though.
