Issues with the Chat

Hello ~

 

I never thought about reporting this before, but it's getting annoying so hoping y'all can help. :biggrin_002:

 

Whenever I go into the chat on my laptop, it signs me in as a guest, even if I'm logged into the Forums. Also, if I try to change my nick it says the Command isn't allowed. However, if I go into the chat on any other computer, it works fine. :mellow:

 

Hoping you guys can help me out. :alright:

To narrow down the issue, is anyone else having the same issues?

 

The changing of the nickname isn't a big deal. I did disable it, but apparently not. It defeats the purpose of my beautiful integration script, which is beautiful.

 

As far as being signed in as a guest, my inital idea on that is that cookies arent working or something. Which also happends if you exclude WWW from a url. I have no experience with different browsers not setting cookies correctly or anything like that. Though I'm thinking its something on your end since it works fine for me everytime...well there are problems but not these problems lol

I don't have a problem with it logging me in as a guest. I always log in as me every time.

Hmm... Ah well, I never really use the chat anyway, no one is ever on. ;)

Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez. Regardless that you don't care, I'd still like members to post if they're getting the same errors. I was thinking of changing the chat software soon anyways.

Yeah Ecowolfsteen has the same problem, but sometimes if he logs out and back in he gets his name. : /

What browser do you use?

Internet Explorer, but it works fine on other computers using IE as well. :/
