Polraudio 122 Report post Posted November 8, 2010 I was comparing PC graphics to the console graphics and boy what a difference. After playing GTA4 on PC for a few weeks i went back to my console to see what the difference was and boy after starting GTA4 on the console i thought i was playing a PS1 game again. I used the same TV for my desktop and console to compare. I used the same Resolution and tried to match the graphics on the PC with the console. It turns out that GTA4 on the console is using just below medium graphics. Never thought there was a difference before till i got a PC. Note: Yes i was bored
rgangsta 43 Report post Posted November 8, 2010 It's because graphic cards on PCs are replaceable so the graphics can be as high as it can. But console graphic cards are harder to replace. So low graphics = less hassle. 1 CrimsonInferno reacted to this
Polraudio 122 Report post Posted November 8, 2010 Yea i know. Was just showing people what the difference was. I was amazed how low it is tho. I thought it was at least high. I remember when i looked at the graphics for consoles and thought that was the best it gets. Once you go PC its hard to go back.
laansolo 3 Report post Posted November 8, 2010 The only reason companys for gaming consoles dont put better graphics chips in is because they dont want to spend a lot of money. I noticed that GTA:SA and GTA4 graphics are close to the same. and then PSP little big planet has the EXACT SAME graphics as the ps3 version.
Ecowolfsteen 14 Report post Posted November 8, 2010 I'm going to stop you there, Iaansolo. GTA4 and GTA: SA are NO WHERE close compared to graphics. SA looks like a dog took a giant s*** all over it. Same thing with Little Big Planet compared to PSP and PS3. I would say GTA3 and GTA: SA look alike, but not number 4.
Dark Den 4 Report post Posted November 15, 2010 So i guess that makes the pc a better place to play games that are more towards graphics. I never noticed this before though but i never got a play station or xbox till now. But i think consoles should have much better graphics cuz the whole use of the console is playing games unlike a pc ( except for some ).
Polraudio 122 Report post Posted November 15, 2010 What they should do is make a console that you can upgrade the parts in it. Like if you want to have better graphics in GTA4 on your PS3 you would go to the Sony store and buy an upgraded graphics card(CPU, RAM, etc.) for your console. Not very hard to do. Then instead of releasing a new console you can release upgrade packs for about the same price as a new console. Nice idea and it would nice to have better graphics on your console. I noticed that GTA:SA and GTA4 graphics are close to the same. and then PSP little big planet has the EXACT SAME graphics as the ps3 version. I wonder which ones are the PSP versions. They look the exact same, so it can be hard distinguishing the PSP from the PS3 LBP... I.E.: Sorry, I disagree.
