Any (Ryu Ga Gotoku) Yakuza fans?

I love this series so I was wondering if anyone likes Yakuza too.

 

Year 2006 I found "Yakuza" an unknown tittle for me, but with an interesting point. Was the best purchase I made in months.

Graphics were little odd, game developing was not the best.. but I really enjoyed playing. Storyline, submissions and characters were the strong points.

 

Game tells about yakuza Kazuma Kiryu, the Dragon of Dojima. He is released from prison after ten years, and finds things have changed for the worst. His best friend will become an enemy, his beloved Yumi is missing and yakuzas are after a little girl related to a billionaire theft.

Basically is a fights game, combined with submisions and funny minigames. Is not a GTA, is not a Shenmue.. it has it's own style.

 

 

So when Yakuzza 2 was released I didn't think twice about it. The result was better storyline, more interesting characters, fun and better minigames. One of my favorite games ever. Cutscenes are great cinematic moments, with a film pointview.

Two weeks ago I finished playing Yakuza 3. Better graphics, an interesting story (I prefer yakuza 2 screenplay but 3 is great too), and fun.. censored fun. But enjoyable anyway.

 

Karaoke minigame always makes me laugh.

Great man, great voice.

 

What I like best of this series is that developers know how to make fun about their topics.

 

 

 

Now I can't wait for Yakuza 4. Will be released at spring 2011. I hope they'll decide not to cut much more contents..

And Karaoke rules :D
