They look pixelated (describes an image in which individual pixels are apparent to the naked eye) to me.

They are very pixelated. They remind me of the RMK3 characters.

use shades that are closer together/not as contrasted to make it look more natural.

You need to work on the shading and contrasting, which is important here. :)

thanx for your quick responses first of all. well, i gave it a second look and realized that i wass too messy with what i;ve done. so far i've tried to modify this one, and i belive it came out quite better. i'm gonna have a look on tha tutorial immediately, and see what more i can fix! there;s still a long way to go i guess!;)

well i've been trying to imprve myself a bit lately, so here's my last attempt.i thought it would be best to correct my previus mistakes first and then start a new sprite, so here's what i got so far...:) please, help me become better, so that i can help the whole community...:P :)
