Rpg maker xp not activating

Well I bought RPG Maker xp full

 

They gave me a activation code but when i put the code on the rpg makerr program it stays at "Connecting to activation server" its been like that for a hour.

 

Whats going on? did i get ripped off?

 

 

Also i cant seem to connect to rpg maker official website .

usually if you get the same error message every time, you can type it abstractly as you see it into google and you find a solution.

i dont think you understand it isnt a error its just a matter of you enter the info for activation and it just keeps trying to connect for eternity until you exit i have tried everything people suggest and truthfully im only on trial version and this has been occuring on both vx and xp but everyone can seem to connect except for vista users and really i think thats do too poor testing of activation server or them just not supporting vista!

You are running in compatibility mode for XP aren't you, and running as Administrator?

There are literally a few thousand tutorials on how to to that. Just google "RMXP Vista"
