Several Questions (I am a noob)

Question

Hi everyone! My name is Frank and I am from the sunny (well currently rainy) state of California. I recently got into making games with RPG Maker XP and I have a few questions regarding some things I want to do. If you could please tell me if they are possible to do with RMXP and if you could point me towards some tutorials on how to do them I would be very grateful!

1. ) I want to move (re-order) the way the maps are on the left panel in RMXP. Is this possible? If so, how? I already tried to drag and drop and the "Shift" function only moves the actual map area up or down a few rows.

2.)Is there any possible way to have a map appear at the press of a key (let's say the M key) like you would have in MMORPGs or so? How would I do that?

3.) Is there any way to add a face graphic for each of the characters in the Main Menu for the Status sub-screen and so on. Like removing the actor graphic and replacing it with a face graphic?

4.) Is there any way to add a dynamic picture in the Equip Menu that would highlight the different parts of the body depending on what the player is equipping?

Thank you for your help!

Hey! Another California brother. What part bro?

1.) No, I'm almost 100% sure that the layout of the editor is not changable.

2.) You mean in-game? Again, the Editor isn't changable.

3.) There are several CMS's in the website resources. Try here http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/index.php?option=com_zoo&view=category&Itemid=226

4.) Again, that's a scripting issue, you'll have to look at a CMS.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. :0

For the second question, it can be done with common events or you can find a script for it.
