^ I'm bouncing back and forth between several forums that has my Perjurer series and Al'asuiaga'ta game. Whichever forum is more active for them, is where my activity pretty much has to be. =p

 

I'd imagine similar stories are for the lurkers and this is not exactly a forum known for active members keeping activity up. D:

That's cause you joined right at the end of most peoples break period

Activity in this place fluctuates regularly as more people go to school or focus on their projects

Don't give your hopes up! This place has actually grown. We have more familiar faces than the first day I joined this forum. Most RPG Maker sites are actually losing activity.

But then a lot of people who join are leechers, and contribute nothing to the forums. And I have to say that Free to Play, who only joined last month, has over 200 posts, so there is no way that he is ever inactive. And people (like me) who have school to go to can't be on all day, so my activity is generally limited to early mornings in the school library.

rpg in general seems to be losing interest, and rpg maker forums are too, so for rmxpu to be this popular and still getting new members sign up is pretty good

 

the internet is full of leechers, so for a member to sign up just to leech then keep active is rare imo. I try to keep active but recently ive had a snow load of work, and today is my final deadline, I'm on here now as a quick break :D

good luck madanchi! i can really feell what you're saying. the same nghtmare will start for me in a few days...:( well, i think it's not an inactive forum. it's just that it's a forum about rpgs, so most of the members are probably engaged to their projects and don;t have all the time in the world to chit chat. after all, we all have schools or jobs etc to keep up with...:(

This era in the RPG Maker community is the era of the lecher. Not to many people join forums are actually stay.

I recently added something on the registration page asking members why they're registering. Its not too old so the accuracy of this probably isn't the best, but I'll try and give you guys some stats.

Nice graph :) Really though the 'N/A' is the first option so that it counts as all the members who didn't chose anything. They're non-participants, so I'm not sure that they should be included in the stats.

Hello, I'm Josh, I have been dabbling with RPG maker for quite a while but keep taking loooong breaks from it due to life issues and losing all progress due to old crappy computers. Now I plan on actually completing a project and I was wondering if I should use VX or XP because I used to use 2k for a long time but I bought VX and haven't used it much yet. My first objective as far as the maker is concerned is to create the game using other people's tiles/character sets, and then slowly replace it with my own art so it becomes fully my own. This way I will get a good idea where everything is and how the scripts will work and I can also see a lot more progress faster.

 

I plan on having a side view atb battle system and custom menu's. I don't want chibi style characters I want ones more like Chrono Trigger. If you guys can help me decide which is better for me with my plans it would be greatly appreciated. If you need more info on my plans just ask because I really am looking forward to getting back in the saddle and making a great game.

 

My game will be a dark fantasy game set in a post apocalyptic world.

Hello, nice to meet you, I'm new myself, been spending the past few days learning some new stuff about the makers, and trying to fish up some tile sets to get me started since I don't really like the stock ones too much. I will eventually replace it with my own but I'm not in the art stage of development yet, I'm in the writing and rough draft stage.
