Help with Blizz-ABS

What's more appealing to you?

7 members have voted

  1. 1. Would you be more likely to play a game with the default RMXP battle system or Blizz-ABS?

    • Default system
    • Blizz-ABS

Question

Hey guys, just a question about Blizz-ABS. On the menu screen there are two buttons called AI Triggers and AI Behaviour, is there anyway that I could remove them? If I release a game I don't want people adjusting the AI. :biggrin_002:

Also, would people be more attracted to a game if it used Blizz-ABS or the default RMXP battles?

Hopefully this is the right section for this post. :sweatdrop:

#1: I'm not a scripter, so I can't help you there.

#2: Generally, nobody likes the default system unless the game makes up for it

Haha yeah, I figured most people wouldn't like the default system. I agree with you that if a game makes up for it, it can turn out really good.

The AI is not for the enemies. It's for your party members. You can choose if you want them to engage an enemy or leave an enemy alone. This is helpful when your party's health is low and you don't want to fight.

I always thought it was for enemies, thanks for telling me! Now I don't have to get rid of it :biggrin_002:

I've got another problem with the ABS. Since I got it the character has been able to walk to over the small yellow bush and the small pile of wood. I'd prefer it not to walk over them because there is a quest where I use them but the character goes straight over top. Any help on how to fix this would be great.

Make those tiles a collision in the database.

Post up an example of what you mean if this post didn't help.

I've checked those but still no difference.

Here are some screenshots.

You probably have a blank walkable tile on top of those tiles. Try removing anything on the layers above it.

There aren't anymore layers that I know on there. It worked before I put Blizz ABS on. If it can't be fixed I can live with it like that.

ok, you know the Blizz-ABS config file? in there, set the terrain tag for that tile to "no jump" and "no floor"

for example, if that autotile had a terrain tag of 0, it would look like this

Oh! I see what the problem is now. That's a little problem with Blizz-ABS. It's because you're using the tileset as the event graphic. Check out the differences between the two in my demo.
