Enigma 10 Report post Posted January 24, 2011 (edited) Sorry for the Double post but here is the most updated information on the Storyline and the game in general: PLOT(LOL) Notes: The easiest way to understand the structure of the plot is that of a 5 paragraph essay. Their is an intro, 3 interrelated, but distinct parts, and a conclusion. Every part not including the intro has a FINAL Boss and a transition into the next part Introduction The game starts off with a first person view of a man in a white suit in a red room. (can be done, with panoramic background, illustration of man and text window. Since this is 1st person you cannot see yourself, which is the point)He asks you questions and from these, your initial personality and gender are derived. After the questions, he starts saying weird unrelated things like, "What are you just standing their for, Run!"(Note this is Miles who says this). The screen fades into the normal rmxp top down view showing your character in the middle of a field. This is the beginning of the Final Exam for the Yoreal Arts Academy(name subject to change)[essentially this worlds version of college] *Final Exam- Serves As tutorial, no idea what it could be yet *After the final exam, Mono(main character) takes a nap but wakes up late for the graduation ceremony(that same day). Therefore, playing as Mono you have to rush to the graduation hall *On the way you encounter an Espira, entranced by its beauty you accidentally touch it and absorb it into your body *After the graduation is the end of the intro Part 1: Emergence *Starts off about 6 weeks after Intro, Mono has come to her/his hometown and visits and stays with his/her mother. *Mono's Hometown-She's delighted to see you and says you should meet up all the people around town. After doing that your mother convinces you to go meet up with your childhood friend(who becomes a party member later in the game) you do a quick minigame for old times sake and then tired you come back home and sleep. The next day, your mom convinces you to help around town so you do some side missions after 3 of them when you go back to talk to her she will tell you about some troubling noises she heard in the forest. So she convinces you to go investigate. *Forest outside of Mono's Hometown This is a normal forest all though it is a bit dark. There are few monsters here, and the path is quiet linear. You have to follow the growling roaring sound that get louder as you get near it(can be done via event) when you find whats making the noise, it appears to be another espira, however it is pitch black unlike the first one. This is a reispira. Unlike the espira, the reispira are hostile and it attacks you, thus the first boss battle. After you defeat it runs away and you have to chase after it via chase minigame. At the end of the minigame, you mess up and become knocked unconscious. You get sent back to the room with the man in the white suit however, this time you are in that room wearing a black suit if your a guy, and a black dress if you are a girl. He introduces himself as Astreal and calls you pathetic for messing up that easily. When you ask him who he is he mocks you again calling you an idiot, because he just told you his name. Mono gets pissed and grudgingly restructures his/her sentence asking what are you? Astreal responds by claiming to be Mono, at least a part of Mono. He then tells Mono that that thing is just like him and that you need to destroy it before it creates more problems. So you wake up and the reispira is directly in front of you. You can choose to absorb it or destroy it, but what that choice will work in gameplay, I dont know yet. The Next day, you get a message via telecrystal(this time periods version of phones) from your friend Signa telling you to come over to a nearby city because she needs help. Since you have nothing else better to do, Mono heads to the city by Walking, vehicle purchasable later in game. *Plain Field - Field Connected to The forest near the home town and the City in Which Signa is in. Filled with adequate amounts of monsters *Casino City- When you enter the city, you immediately become angry when you find that Signa made you come all the way over there for such a stupid reason. So when you enter the casino shes inshe is loosing bad and she says that you have the rest of her money its true you owe her a couple of bucks from college but you are reluctant to give it to her, she makes you bet anyway and you lose anyway. So you and her have to run because your in debt to the casino and you get chased by security. Hence the start of another Chase minigame, although this time Mono is running away. When you reach the exit of the town you become surrounded and have to fight, but eventually you are overwhelmed and get K.Oed. So you wake up strapped to a chair with Signa, when a man in a white suit, unrelated to Astreal walks in, hes the owner of the casinos, all of them. He asks you how you intend to pay him back, and you can't leave until you do so you have to do side missions in the casino city to make money. After getting enough money, a strange looking kid steals it and runs off with Signa chasing after him. You have to chase after Signa. The chase ends in an alley containing a Han Reispira which the boy jumps into, and Signa obsessed with catching him jumps in after, despite your warning. You go in after her and enter a Han Respira realm filled with hostile reispira. This is basically the first dungeon. After completing it you end up catching up with Signa, who is completely oblivious to the situation and kicks the kid down, laughing as she does it (simply cause she's mean), and grabs the money. Then she turns her back to the kid, bragging to Mono about getting the money back. However, she doesn't see that the kid is transforming into its actually form, a Reispira-[form here]. Mono yells for Signa to watch out, and jumps in front of the attack effectively blocking it, but the Reispira is so strong that it knocks both of them back and off their feet. Then the boss battle begins. After defeating the boss, Mono obtains the Han Core of the Han Reispira and the Han Reispira realm disintegrates and the two re-enter the real world. At this point the Demo(First Demo; Milestone 1) would end. Part 2: Corruption Part 3: Truth Conclusion Game Play Mechanics: Voice Actors: Vote on Battle System: need to vote on weapon: upgradeable with sockets for enhancement armor: upgradeable Personality: each character has a personality that develops from which actions they do a kind disposition comes from using alot of healing magic personalities increase ability in that area being kind gives you better healing abilities Parties are in max of 3 including Mono Main Characters: Mono (default) (Hero/ Heroine) Gender: Player Decided Age: Probably 23 (undecided) Intial Personality: Player Decided Sam (undecided) (Mentor/ Antagonist in Part 2) Gender: Male Age: (undecided)around 40ish Signa (1st Party Member) Gender: Female Age: 24 (undecided) Intial Personality: Fiery Tempermant/ Lazy Miles (? Party Member) Gender: Male Age: 22 (undecided) Intial Personality: Strategic Important Terms: Espira- Magical anomaly of unknown origin that has strange power Espira-[name here]- when an espira combines with a human it transform into a new entity formed from the personality of the person. The Espira transfers its power to the user. Espira-[Astreal]- The first and most powerful espira, combines with Mono. Reispira- When an espira becomes corrupted for various reasons it becomes a reispira. Unlike espira, these are hostile and forcefully possess objects, animals, people, and monsters. Reispira-[form here]- A reispira that has become powerful enough to retain a noticable form Reispira-[alpha](name subject to change)- The first Reispira, that infected Sam and started the corruption Han Reispira- formed from the conglomeration of many reispira, these reispira form an alternate dimension inside themselves. Unlike normal Reispira, these are not hostile,immobile, and fixed in space, rather they contain hostile reispira inside them. These are worse than normal reispira because they warp the area around them and create more reispira. The only way to destroy a Han Reispira is by destroying its core which is usually inside a Respira-[]. Han Reispira-[ex]- Advanced form of Han Reispira that has become condensed. It functions radically different from a Han Reispira in that their is no world to enter as its alternate world has become entirely composed of reispira. It acts as a physical object. This item can be used to create reispira without limit at will Kai Espira- The espira form of Han Reispira formed from the conglomeration of Espira. There is only 1 remaining formed eons ago. It also contains a parallel world which contains an alter for strengthening the power of Espira Users. Telecrystal- Form of communication in Mono's world, requires a bit of magical knowledge to use, although commoners can be taught how to use it it very easily. The best kind of story you could create with this is Pokémon-level, which is excellent for pokémon games but sucks for other rpg games. And before you decide on your kind of armors, weapons an characters you need AT LEAST a plot outline, so i hope you guys did that? The best kind of story you could create with this is Pokémon-level, which is excellent for pokémon games but sucks for other rpg games. The Fallout series pulled it off, so can we. Enigma 10 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 @Broken Messaiah Mono's Persona does not change regardless of gender, she/he has an an androgynous personality. They are in fact the same person in the same so any effect is has on the storyline is insignifigant. The game follows a Sub-Linear Storyline, rather than moving with the story line, the player moves with story line at will but is encouraged and sometimes required to diverge from the main story, allowing for a richer world experience. Which has lead me to the conclusion that, we need someone to design side missions and minigames as well as the various towns that Mono and his/her friend will visit. In my opinion, if you can't work on the project now that is fine, come back at a later date, you will just have work ready and waiting for you, those who can work on it should continue to work on it Not everyone is free in the summer, specially not me @ LNER: Yes I mean the story 2 to 4 people max even came to the story discussion.
