I was wondering...

Recommended Posts

I noticed that there are a few eventing classes but most of them only made it to a few lessons and they only went over the basics, I was wondering if I could have an eventing class sub-form where I will update at least once every week and I would go past the basics to teach you how the different event commands can be used together. Because unlike most people on this board I have nothing but free time for most of the day pretty much everyday.

I think this is a good idea.

You have my support gl

PM me an example of a tutorial you have made.

Marked doesn't even like the idea of the classes and think we should merge them with tutorials altogether, but if you can pump out regular stuff I don't see why not.

Yea as long as you keep it active and keep up with that the students want to learn i see no problem.

Up to Marked.

Yeah, what Pol said, that's why I'm against them. If a member could actually sustain a class I have no problem. If you guys think I'm against this sort of thing, thats not it at all, I'm a realist. If someone's doing something beneficial then I'll be more than happy help to promote that. Its not very difficult to get me to set up a section lol all I want in return is for them to do what they say they're going to do.

However I'm against the idea of students. In fact its silly. Why help a handful of members who're probably going to give up unless you're truely masterful (can create classes that will hold their attention, produce them fast enough, and actually create better game makers: which is hard to do via text). I mean, the only point to it is getting attention. This is the wrong business for that. Alternatively you can have thousands of students over a long period of time, you just wont get the recognition. Its a very fair trade off. Don't be deterred by a lack of attention. Everyone including bots can read all our topics and we've got some decent SEO, they will be read.

Still interested?

Let me add something that might help keep people interested and atending.

Due dates is something you might want to consider putting in.

Grades is also something that might help.

Rewards for people who do good and keep good grades.

You could assign a reading for 1 week and have the assignment done the next week.

Also a test every once in a while.

Remember if your going to make a class make it a class and not just a tutorial.

Just some things to consider. :alright:

I agree with the students thing. It is quite silly. I am far too busy to produce classes on a regular basis, so its not fair to expect people to regualarily keep up. Its still a very neat thing to do though. Although I have huge laggs in between my classes, I have a lot of fun writing them, and I'm sure they'll benefit someone sometime, lol
