Ratty524 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2007 Has anyone read the manga Dr. Slump? I've recently picked it up from the nearby Burbank Town Center mall and I've found some good enjoyment out of it. About the manga, it's really old... it was Akira Toriyama's (the same guy who made the Dragon Ball series and did the artwork in the RPG Chrono Trigger) first comic that was published in Shonen Jump Magazine at around the 1980s. As far as the plot of this comic, a goofy, perverted inventor named Senbei Norimaki creates a humaniod robot girl named Arale, who basically is just a handful. From complaints that she doesn't have a private part to her habit of removing her head, Senbei pretty much has to manage her enought so that the civilians don't suspect that she's not really a human girl. I found it pretty funny, it got some easy laughs out of me. How about you? By the way I'll post some of my favorite quotes in the manga: "N'cha!" - Arale, a greeting that was learned by Senbei. "Ho-yo-yo-yo-yo!" - Arale, I don't know why the hell she says that. "Bad men go fly" - Arale again... "My chest's all flat." - Arale when she is being built "Ally-oop!" - Arale "You're a rare breed -- a true pervert..." - Principal of Penguin Village Middle School to Senbei "I'VE NEVER SEEN ONE!" - Senbei, he didn't give Arale a vagina because he's never seen one before (ROFL).
