kyros2000 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2011 UPDATE: Demo Release I know it has been a while since I have last responded for my project, but I have good news. I have the first version of my official demo release available for download on mediafire. It is a total of 128 MB with RTP included. There is no need to have RTP installed for this one. I estimate on average about 3 hours of gameplay assuming you talk to all NPCs, accomplish or attempt to all side events and do not have to retry any battles. I eagerly await input from any who attempt to play the demo for their inputs and I am by no means an expert mapper but I am trying my best and learning from there. This will of course be my first demo ever released for any RPG Maker, so go easy on me j/k ;) I welcome any advice, suggestions, comments, complaints etc. Please enjoy the demo. Thank you for all your patience and thank you rgangsta for your wonderful title screen you gave me. You are in the credits, btw. kyros2000 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2011 There may be a problem with downloading the file in just an executable format so I decided to compress it. Okay, this is the new link I am putting up with a zipped file with an .rar extension. I have virus scanned the file and there were no viruses, so it should be clean. Anyone please let me know if you still have any problems with downloading the file. Thank you. The new link is: Eternal Star Vol 1: Mystic Path
kyros2000 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2011 (edited) Alright, I have the new link up. Let me know if you have any problems and it is a rar file once again. Here is the link: Eternal Star Vol 1: Mystic Path EDIT: Sorry link was broken earlier. This new rar file should be the final link and you do not need the RTP installed any longer to play it. I will test play it as well to make sure nothing is different or out of place. Thank you all for sticking in there with me and this is the working link finally. Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted September 5, 2011 While you most certainly can post as many times as you want in your topic after your own posts, a few hours difference is a bit too little. xD Anyways. I'm downloading your game now. :
kyros2000 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2011 (edited) While you most certainly can post as many times as you want in your topic after your own posts, a few hours difference is a bit too little. xD Anyways. I'm downloading your game now. :3 Thank you for trying my demo out. Let me know how far you get, how long it take for you to reach ending credits, any suggestions etc. Btw, if you want to re-download with the link in above post. I have just updated demo to make sneaking around the guards much easier. Also, ventilation system removed in lab due to RPG being more medieval oriented, but humans are just discovering ancient technology of a civilization that was way more advanced than the times currently. The ventilation still did not make sense to implement. Thanks and enjoy ;) Btw, I apologizing for posting so much so for now on I will edit my last link post if there is an update to demo. Later. kyros2000 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2011 Alright, soon there will be an update to the demo, which will include some extra backstory on Luke Ikaris. I will give this hint away to come across the extra story. Once you have Luke Ikaris join your party re-visit the Forgotten Temple Ruins assuming you have been there once already. If not, try to look west of Cyberias city. If you are able to beat the Yamas District guard, which should be easy with Luke on your team, you will get to see an event unfold between Luke and Captain Sterling. Btw, try to last at least last 5 rounds against her to get an achievement. Btw, if you can last 5 rounds against her without Luke in your party then you are awesome. I do not foresee anyone actually defeating her though. I will keep you posted when I update the demo. Hope you have enjoyed the demo so far ;) One last note, if you actually go through with this optional event, you will get a character later in the game that you may not have otherwise have gotten. kyros2000 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2012 *UPDATE*: After a whole year has passed since the game demo's official release, I am proud to present to you version 1.5. There are many new things added to the new version aside from more storyline. You will now be able to choose missions from the Organization Branch. There are many various categories of missions to take up to 10 different types and each category varies in itself. There is now also a Member Ranking List that will show you your current rank compared to the rest of those within the Organization. Four new locations were added since my last update and at least two more new characters make their appearance. Also, the new trap chests system has been implemented as well for those who love booby traps. You have a chance to avoid the traps or take less damage depending on your defense or magic defense and evasion and agility. Also, for the missions if you do not complete them in enough time like say if the story progresses then you would miss your chance to succeed and may end up failing a mission. I am proud to announce the new skill upgrade system that is used in conjunction with mastering skills. In other words, you must use a certain skill a certain number of times to master it and then you can upgrade that to its next level. All in all, I hope you enjoy the latest update and feel free to let me know what you think of the latest changes. I look forward to the responses, so let me hear them. kyros2000 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2012 I apologize to those who have already downloaded the game with the single executable. I found out that executable does not store its save files externally so you could not quit the game and come back in to load your game. I have the new link here for the updated game: Eternal Star Vol 1: Mystic Path Version 1.
