Mapping

Question

Hello (: Yes, post overload, but this ones real quick.

Untitled-1.png

I feel this is missing something.. but what?!

It's called Nostalges and it's the second biggest resistance hold after the Royal City (Which has now fallen, so it's technically the biggest now) It's on an island away from the mainland and its been blessed by the Royal Religion Freaks (Not their actual names) so that them damn evil bums can't go near it. I think thats all.

So... any ideas what its missing?

Add some guards on top of the castle because thats the only thing that makes it plain. Other than that, the maps looks awesome! Great job. Must take a while for such a big map to load though :o.

the area surrounding the building needs more life: add more trees (variating trees), plants, dirt etc. You also need the round water autotile, because the default one sucks. Lastly, even for a stronghold the building looks to square. Look at real life exaples: you should add some small towers etc. Also the small path leading to the stronghold isn't very logically now.

^ This.

However, I also think that you should add a gate by the fence. If they want to enter, do they have to hop it?

:sweatdrop:

But if you look at the map, theres a pathway leading to somewhere else, so a gate isn't necessary.

Well, if that's the case, then the fort can easily be assaulted from the west or east (Assuming it's facing south), and can plunge their armies right on through without anything to stop them. So maybe you should put a fence on those sides too.?
