So I haven't visited here in... well, a LONG time anyway. I joined in 2008, but I don't remember if I ever even posted. Basically, some time after that, I stopped working seriously with RMXP, due to a combination of feeling like my projects weren't going anywhere, and other things taking up my time and attention.
Recently, though, I started thinking about it again, and thought it'd be fun to at least play around with it some more... stumbled on this place (again) and dug up my barely used account.
So I did have a couple of technical questions... in addition to my desktop, which is what I've always run RMXP on, I now have a netbook (that I didn't have the last time I used RMXP). I was thinking, it would be neat to be able to play with it on the go, but I haven't been able to find ANYTHING online about whether or not one can install the program to multiple computers. I did pay for the full, legit version at the time (it was back in 2007 if memory serves), so is it possible to install it on a second computer without buying it again?
Also, assuming that I can get the program onto the netbook, has anyone done something like this, using two computers to work on one project? Obviously you'd have to keep moving it back and forth... if you knew, for example, that in a given session you had only modified the actual game data, could you copy just the "Data" folder back to the other computer in order to keep them in sync (without having to copy the entire project folder back and forth every time you switched machines)?
Beyond that, I dunno yet if I'm going to REALLY get back into it and try to make something, or just kind of goof around with it, but either way, I know where to come if I need more help... I've lurked a bit these last few days, and I've noticed that there's a much more friendly atmosphere here than some of the other RPGM sites I frequented a few years ago. :)
