Enterbrain's Tutorials.

Recommended Posts

Enterbrain has recently released tutorials for VX users. http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/tutorial/rpg-maker-vx

Personally I think the tutorials are good for a basic beginner's game. However, they don't teach us anything about scripts and how to make custom graphics.

As I do agree that they should have tutorials for scripting, it is not up to them to teach you art. That is something totally up to you and outside the use of using their engine. THere are plenty of places with tutorials on how to create different forms of art, but it lies mostly upon the artist.

I agree with chief. Graphics/art isn't something you can easily lay out a manual for. I think they should have made a RPG Maker Xp tutorial as well. But I guess enterbrain assumes most people are using VX.

They have to start at the start though. Maybe they just haven't written them yet.

Besides, I don't support this. There are hundreds of tuts out there made by the english community, and this is anti-competitive in terms of website traffic on enterbrains part.

Enterbrain announced that the company will be releasing tutorials every Friday for the next few months. It's great that they are giving North America more attention. We need it.

Agreed.

This could have helped when it was released, or even a year after its release. But I guess it is still good for newcomers :)

I made a few beginners tutorials in the last few days. Now they are totally useless.
