what is the event trigger set to?

I believe if it is set to either parallel process or autostart it will just continue to loop over and over again.

once the movement is finished, set the event's self-switch on and make a new page that does nothing with touch as trigger or something. that way the event will stop processing.

Can you please give details about this event? If you only want him to move two steps to the left and then end the event. You need to learn switches. If that is the end of the event then make page two blank with switch A switch checked. On page one activate switch A in Event commands under control self switch.

First off you have to make sure the repeat action box is not checked. This is found when your setting up the move route at the bottom. If that is not your problem then you probably have no events after that you need to have something after that like a self switch a then a new page with self switch a having to be active. If neither one of those fixes it please post some more details.

Yea, it sounds like you have the repeat action on or you aren't telling it when you stop.
