How to make a shop!

How to make a shop.

Making a shop is very simple. However, it may seem confusing if you are a beginner. Follow my steps and you will be able to make a shop in two minutes.

1. You have to make the map first. Add objects that would make the type of shop look good. If you’re making a weapon and armor shop then add tiles of weapons and armor. If you’re making an item shop you can make it look like a general store by having tiles of clothing, food, bottles, etc.

2. Next you need to make an event of having a store owner. You can pick any human graphic. Next in this event you will need to add choices for the players. In the Event Commands on the first page has a section named Messages. You will then select Show Choices. You will now have the option to make choices for the player to select. I normally give the player three choices; talk, shop, and leave.

For the first option type Talk. This will allow the player to simply have a conversation with the store owner. In the first page of Event Commands select show text which can be found on the first page under Messages. Now you may type a conversation between the owner and the player.

The second option is Shop. Directly under shop you will now select shop processing which can be found on the third page of Event Commands under the section Screen Processing. Once you have clicked shop, you can add items that will be for purchase.

You will need to select option number 3 as cancel because the player selected leave. This basically allows the player to not shop and continue playing the game.

Your event should look similar to this!
