Player has no graphic after being transfered.

Question

I'm having an odd problem. After a cut scene I transferred the player to another map that starts a new scene. At the beginning of this scene the player does not have a graphic. I do not have it programmed to remove the player's graphic at the start of the new scene. I am very confused to why this is happening.

1) is this happening in both RMXP & RMVX (your post icon)

2) It would be really helpful if you posted, at least a screendump of the cutscene event. More helpful if you posted a demo of the project, since there could be something extraneous to the cutscene that's causing the problem.

1. This is only happening in VX.

2. Here you go.

The Cut Scene that transfers the player.

First off I think your problem 4 and 5 is the same. 2nd I'm tired right now but from what I saw it shouldn't be doing that but It's likely I missed something I'll check it again after I wake up some more. Lastly though wouldn't it be easier/simpler to just go ahead and make a parallel process to make it the player graphic on the scene that's messing up? That way you dont have to worry about the problem. Just a thought you might have tried that already.

That's really strange... Is the player's graphic visible at all (say, after the cutscene or right after the transfer?)

Or is the player transferred to a tile that is displayed above events?

or is there any other parallel processes that are happening at the same time as either of these events? Try setting the event's to Autostart instead of parallel process (or do they NEED to be parallel processes?)

Like I said the player is not visible.

The player is not being transferred on a tile that has an event. There are not any other active parallel process that are also going on.

How would Auto Start fix the problem?

Autostart wouldn't necessarily Fix the problem, but if it did it would indicate another event was causing the issue. But since you are sure there are no other events...then I am not sure what the cause could be..........

The only thing I can think of doing is having the scene change the character's graphic to what it should be before the scene, hopefully that would refresh the player's graphic. This is the only time this issue has ever arisen right?

I agree with kellessdee with making an add on to the event or making another event refreshing the players graphic. My question is, I dont see any player changing graphics at all so who is the player playing as while these move routes are going on before X and them show up?

I had a problem with something like this in one of my games, not sure if it'll help much, but it could be part of the Tileset you're using where it treats the character as invisible. Ie.. making bottom 1/3, 1/2 or all 100% of the character obscured, like when you walk through tall grass. Like I said, dunno if it will help, but maybe it will. Good luck.

I remember that from the demo :shifty: didn't have a problem like this in the past?

This is not part of the first demo. It's new material for future releases.

It's still not working properly.

What about the question I asked earlier? What/Who is the player before x and them show up?

My last suggestion is for you to copy and past your event in a different spot and to a different map and let the player transfer to a different map if the other thing didn't work ( preferably one you know that works). Then see if it works that way if it does then you know its not the event basically trail and error. Sorry I cant help more it really urges me that I cant solve your problem but I have no idea why it should be doing what it is.

I found the problem. I did not have the correct control switch on! The second page of the first event did not have the correct control switch checked for the trigger.
