Make edits to tilesets if you need to.

Im still bad even with a tutorial. I kind of want to see other work. It will give people a chance to gain some points. Putting the point system to use.

Here is one facing the only way the rtp will let you face it. I just want to make sure that this is something similar to what you want (This is a basic part it is not quite finished but should give you an idea.)Also note that this is my first time using the ship tile set but if you say okay I will then start trying to manipulate the title set to allow for the other 3 directions. Thanks :biggrin_002:

is it a her or just a really little boy? :/ although I agree. But it may be the rtp ship tileset as well, I am not the biggest fan of rtp; however with all the other tile sets it is very possibly to make some nice maps...but every rtp ship just seems....REALLY off. they seem lacking.

I think what you need pol, is a new tileset! Also pol, practice makes perfect :D just mess around, get familiar with all the different mapping controls and what not. there are a lot of little tricks you can use to make mapping A) look nicer and B) much easier. I think you are doubting yourself a little too much. Start off small, and test different things see how they look. eventually you will get a feel for it, I promise! (then you make your own great maps and just give away free points :D haha jk)

EDIT: Do you ever post your maps for critique? You probably do better than you think you do. A lot of the times it's our left and right brains conflicting; as with any artwork (which is why sometimes when we draw things or paint or whatever ourselves, we think it's terrible and then you show it to someone else and they think it's great)

EDIT2: @kiriashi:

About Me:

I am an RPG Maker addict, a lover of all things fantasy, an herbalist, a gentleman and a scholar.

no problem, im making a docking system in my project so when i read this i was thought it had to be done, as a ship that only faces one direction is not much of a ship at all :)

wait ships can face more than one direction????? ARE YOU SURE :o

haha sorry i couldn't resist.

@pol: you should still mess around with doing your own maps, I still believe you can become a great mapper (with or without tutorials)

@diagostimo: btw, if you have a little addition to your post; you should just edit the first one instead of double posting :) (of course if no one has replied since)

I have never used a tutorial for mapping it's just one of those skills you gotta pick up for yourself as everyone has there own style and it is very easy to pick up, Lols I was meaning only the rtp ship can face one way, not metophorically ;)
