Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted June 8, 2011 RMXP Unlimited, Well the Writing Class is coming along nicely for what I have planned. Should be available in a week. Below is a class layout of what you will be taught. This is a brief outline and doesn't go into great detail, will update soon. Writer’s & Developer’s: Class Writer’s and Developer’s class will cover the basics of writing and how to incorporate your idea/story into a workable game presentation. This class will also cover such things as Media Transfer (taking a book and turning it into a workable game presentation). Writer’s Module I-- This course will focus on the basics of writing a simple teaser. Once you finish this Module you will have created your own teaser for a story. Writer’s Module II-- We will now take our teaser and create a workable short story. *Once you finish these two Modules you will have your own original Short Story and Teaser to go with it. Developer’s Module I-- This course will show you how to take your short story and transform it into a workable game presentation. Developer’s Module II-- Now knowing what you learned in the previous Modules we will learn how to do this in reverse. We will create a game presentation and then create a story to go with it. Once this is done we will take our game presentation and create a small mini demo game in RPG Maker XP. * Once finished with these two Modules you will have created a simple puzzle game in RPG Maker XP (you can use any RPG Maker if you do not have RPG Maker XP). Writer’s & Developer’s Module I-- Now taking all you have learned from previous Modules we will now create a game presentation. This game presentation will be used taking a novel (Stardust) and creating a simple puzzle game in Game Maker (this is an optional course). Writer’s & Developer’s Module II-- Here we will take a complex novel (A Song of Ice and Fire) and show you how to create a basic mini demo, RPG game based off a novel series. *Once completed you will have created a mini demo or two. v/Respectfully, Noob Saibot (Kage Kazumi)
