FranklinX 37 Report post Posted June 30, 2011 In my opinion push up bras give a false representation of who women are because the breast are not naturally large nor fake. I don't see the reason why women should lie to men about their bust size. There are many men in the world who like breast in different sizes. Honestly I am a breast man. I prefer a nice set of breast over booty any day of the week. I am still very open to dating small and flat chested women. My preference is more of a want then a need. However, I would be turned off by a woman if I discovered she was wearing a push up bra because I'm not getting what I'm expected. Although this lie is not on the same level as cheating nor STDs, but it is still a lie. It would be like a skinny man wearing a muscle suit and taking it off when having sex, as the woman is expecting a muscular man but is offered someone totally different. Now companies are making clothes for women to hide any fat depending on their size. I may write a letter to Obama to make push up bras illegal. It's false representation after taxation at Victoria Secrets.
Leon 55 Report post Posted June 30, 2011 I love em. Many men are pigs who only stare at our breasts. Why not use them as a tool to get their attention? Besides, some outfits look better in push-up. 1 ShinyToyGuns reacted to this

Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted June 30, 2011 No? I mean seriously, if you're paying so much attention to something like that then you can't be the one pointing fingers. : / I couldn't care less about breast size, and frankly I think they have the right to try and make themselves more attractive. What's wrong with that? 1 ShinyToyGuns reacted to this
FranklinX 37 Report post Posted June 30, 2011 Wearing a push up bra is not really making someone more attractive because the truth will be found out in the bedroom. Getting plastic surgery, taking a bath, combing your hair, etc are ways to honestly be attractive.
Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted June 30, 2011 Are you freaking kidding me? You think that a girl show go get plastic surgery just so she can have bigger breasts, and that is an honest thing to do? What's more you list plastic surgery with things like combing your hair as if they're on the same level.

ShinyToyGuns 29 Report post Posted June 30, 2011 Yet again another topic of yours that I can't keep my mouth shut on. Who gives a shit what a girl/guy looks like on the outside? I mean, sure, if they look great AND have a great personality, then double points, but usually I'm looking at their personality before I'm worrying about the size of their breasts or whether they're wearing a bra that over-emphasizes their breasts or not. I wonder sometimes...do you have anything better to do than see flaws in everything and start shit about them on forums?

Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted July 1, 2011 (edited) Here are some comments on this subject from men and women (gotta love Google): click here And because I had nothing else to do: A brief history of bras Before 1900s, there is very little evidence of garments that could be considered bras. In ancient history, there are mentions of a strip of cloth tied under the breasts to support and to reveal them, or strip of cloth tied around the breasts to flatten them. The corset became popular starting in the 1500s, and its one function was to lift and shape breasts upward. The modern bra with its two separate cups was gradually developed from the corset in the early 20th century, in an attempt to manufacture a more comfortable underwear piece. Today, the bra has "evolved" from simple underwear into an actual sexual garment that emphasizes the sexual nature of breasts. This can be readily seen, for example, by the terminology used to advertise bras: enticing, hot, ravishing, seducing, etc. It is no wonder feminists symbolically threw their bras into the trash in the 60s. Even today, going braless is sometimes connected with feminism. Edited July 1, 2011 by Noob Saibot

Dragon324 16 Report post Posted July 1, 2011 So your going on a bases that it lies to men, which yes is true, they are kind of lying but its to make themselves look more attractive therefore are you putting them on the same level as makeup, plastic surgery, and color dye for hair? Because they all do the same thing, so therefore on that basis you would have to make all those illegal. You said in your own post that a women did not have to have large breast in order for you to like them so ergo in the grand scheme of things does it really make that much of a difference? Everyone lies, its a part of human nature, therefore I dont see a valid point in your conclusion but that is just me and my opinion.

Plastic Surgery is NOT the same as push up bras and make up. Plastic surgery gives people real changes that are permanent. Push up bras and make up are FAKE and are not permanent. That is a clear difference. Make up and Push up bras have a major difference. Women don't take off make up while having sex. They do take off their push up bras and the truth is revealed. I'm not saying they are completely similar I'm saying that they all share 1 certain thing similar and that is women do it just to try make themselves look more attractive. I know they are different in that plastic surgery can be permanent but why do they get it?, to look more attractive just like makeup ect. Now this is strictly my opinion but I think society puts way to much pressure on girls these days, to me it seems the norm has become that girls have to be pretty in order to lead successful lives. Therefore this leads more women feeling that they have to change themselves so they can look good to be successful in society. I for one give little thought about what a girl looks like. I would rather have good personalty in a girl rather then just good looks. However it seems that a large number of men just care about a girls attractiveness and that is one reason why I believe the divorce rate has gone up since times like the 80's. (I know I live in a dark world its not a fun place to be but I can never seem to stop thinking along terms like these.) Dragon324 16 Report post Posted July 1, 2011 (edited) Society puts pressure on both men and women to be attractive. It is not the number one reason for divorce. I'm not understanding how you came to that conclusion. True its why there is things that enhance a certain area of the men's body. I did not say it was the number one thing that leads to divorce but it contributes. I reached that conclusion because if two people got together because they like each others looks more than their personally. That attraction on looks is like a spark, it wont stay forever. This therefore leads to divorce when couples get married for the wrong reason ( I believe that this is happening more today than in the past. Though I do not believe that the whole looks thing is the only thing causing divorces.) So what about the people who do stayed married? I recent survey done that was in my sociology book says that a large portion of people who are still married, are in a unsatisfied marriage. So you may ask why they stay, its because of things like its for the kids, or for extended families sake, There are even some religions where you are looked down upon if you get divorced. The survey found if it was not for these "strings" to hold them back that about half of those people in unsatisfied marriages would get a divorce. I hope that clarify's some on why I think that. diagostimo 11 Report post Posted July 1, 2011 i think push up bras are fine, if its what a girl needs to boost there confidence on there aperance then so be it, but as for plastic surgery i belive it is wrong, it proves that one is insecure or unhappy with there natural form, and can lead to future problembs or imediate problems straight after the surgery, a bra perks them a bit, getting a boob job scars, but thats just me

kellessdee 48 Report post Posted July 1, 2011 By the way, 'you are wrong' is bad debate technique :P You are wrong, it's a great technique. Sorry, I take that back. I couldn't resist. :( *slaps self back onto topic* Anywho, I don't really see how it matters, or even how it is some kind of "trick" or "lie" or whatever you want to call it. I hate to get into things like this, as it comes very close to objectifying women (people are not objects). But, nonetheless: The only time it may seem like a false presentation of a woman's breast size, is in the situation of a one-night stand. You hook up with a girl at a club, get into bed and realize that she was wearing a push-up bra. Well is it really a big deal? A one-night stand is...just one night, you will probably never see her again. In the case of a girlfriend (unless perhaps she ONLY wears push-up bras) you will be able to learn approximately the breast size before you start dating her (assuming one actually gets to know the person before dating them) and thus, there is no false representation. Also, IMO I don't really think push-up bras cause a girl's breasts to look THAT much larger, they are just more "lifted" or perky. The padding in a push up bra is not that thick (I have had girl friend's who wear push-up bras and honestly, the breasts look larger OUT of the bra). People choose what to wear based on what they think will make them look better, regardless of gender. And it isn't necessarily to make certain body parts look bigger or smaller, clothing is chosen to highlight what one feels are their best features and hide what they believe are not so great. Perhaps someone doesn't like the look of their stomach, so they NEVER wear revealing shirts (or take their shirt off) and maybe even wear large shirts, purposely to hide this feature; is that not the same thing as wearing push-up bras to make one's breasts look larger? It is, they are hiding the appearance of their stomach and then say they end up in bed with someone and that person did not know the appearance of their stomach. or what about females that wear large shirts and sweaters which make their breasts seem smaller? Well for a guy who wants a female with small breasts, this could be the same kind of "false representation" of the person, for this logic (that a female must accurately display their body) then it would only be 100% accurate if everyone was naked all the time. Otherwise, you will never truly know what someone looks like naked. I would also like to redirect attention to lizzie's last post: Not all women wear push-up bras to make their breasts look bigger, support is a big decision; us men take it for granted that we don't have to lug around excess upper body parts; and most fail to realize that it can actually be physically demanding. Finally, touching on the subject of plastic surgery: Plastic Surgery is much much more of a lie than push-up bras; to everyone (including the person getting the surgery.) They are physically altering who they are, and thus creating a false image of themselves. But I am not one to try and dictate how people should live their lives and I refuse to. I don't think plastic surgery is ever a good idea, and wish people would be more true to themselves; but who am I to judge? Everyone should have a right to do what they wish to their own bodies (something that laws deny people around the world, but that is another topic altogether).
