Marked 197 Report post Posted May 19, 2007 Today I was working on a loading graphic for the forum, which didn't turn out as I wanted. But when I was making it, I had an idea. I wasn't sure of what to call the title...but anyway, the idea is to make battlers similar to the way you would make characters with a character maker. In flash, you can turn pictures into symbols. So, like a character maker you can move things around and join them together. This is all done in Flash. So anyway, I made a video to show what I mean. It's me messing around in flash with the Arshes graphic i drew, but it shows what I mean. I didn't really do any shading, so dont be put off by that. Sorry if the quality is bad too, but the files get really big. http://www.rmxpunlimited.trap17.com/Drawing%20Arshes.zip Here is a screen shot of flash. But it is nothing like the video. Download the video before you reply. http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/7362/flasshscreenqp7.gif So, this topic is to discuss if this is a good idea, or not. In the video, I only have parts of Arshes's head, and for this idea you would have 20 of each part or something like that.
Wyzrd 12 Report post Posted May 19, 2007 It won't let me download the video. It ask for cPanel name and password. I think you did something weird with it.

Marked 197 Report post Posted May 20, 2007 Sorry about that. I added (9856k) on the end, and that merged in with the link. It's fixed now.
Ratty524 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2007 ... May I ask what program I need in order to view the video?
Marked 197 Report post Posted May 20, 2007 It is a .MOV file(Quicktime Movie), I do not think it will run on Windows Media Player, but it will run on Real Player and QuickTime Player. I made that file type to try and decrease the file size.
Marked 197 Report post Posted May 28, 2007 Here's another screenshot, which contains the parts I used for SCMikes battler. Which when you put all the parts together looks like this: So, the idea would be to have many parts. In that screenshot I have two heads, you could easily make that battler into Arshes wearing strange cloths. For this idea to work, you would have many parts. Black Shadow 14 Report post Posted May 28, 2007 This looks pretty good. Sounds like a easy way to make your own battlers.
Que 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2007 I've just tried downloading the zip file around three times today and the site asked for the password and username and all that jazz, so I haven't been able to download the file at all.
arsieiuni 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2007 Is this going to be similar to the facemaker program that's available for making facesets?? I love the idea! I hope there will be more detail to the characters (I know you said you didn't shade yet...) and lots of variety to each part... also make sure there's lots and lots of parts that can be edited and make it so you can use an RGB scale to change colors on everything... then it'd be UBER... Do you know facemaker? http://umeumewoman.fc2web.com/ Anyway, this looks great! I hope you finish it! ^-^
