Noob Saibot 38 Report post Posted July 19, 2011 (edited) Current/Future Contributors Below is a list of people who have agreed to be a contributor already: 1) Moghunter (http://www.atelier-rgss.com/) Readers, The purpose behind this topic is to recruit contributors who have the skill in using RPG Maker XP and RPG Maker VX in such skills as spriting, scripting, eventing, mapping, sprite editing, tutorial creation, etc. There is no limit to how many people can contribute to any one category. You can contribute as much (a lot of stuff) or as little (1 or 2 items) as you wish. If you have the skill to create RMXP or RMVX scripts then you can contribute scripts (your own creation) and tutorials on scripting (your own works). I am not looking for existing scripts, resources, or tutorials. I only ask that you contribute new and original works only! What is this for? I am currently working on a brand new site (see my FAQ here) called Game Kits. It will provide individual free and commercial resources (by resources I mean: Graphics, Media, Scripts, Event Systems, etc). However I am one person and I need some help in filling the FREE section with resources. RMXP Unlimited Provides Resources Already? Well yes and no. But you can't find a Graphics Kit, Media Kit, Script Kit, or a Game Kit here. I wanted to create a resources site kind of like a Web Site Template site. You can buy pre-made stuff, grab one of our many free ones, or request a custom one. This is the ultimate goal of Game Kits; the individual resources are to just start us out with. Plus Game Kits will not provide support for any Game Software we provide 'resources' for. In fact I recently sent Marked a PM request a nice big Banner Ad that will be slapped on the homepage as well as a support forum that will direct people here. Help and Support The only support Game Kits will provide is support for the products we offer (free and commercial). Our contributors will also have a Developer Support forum where they can ask other contributors help on their scripts or event systems. Want to Help Contribute? If you would like to help please read the information in the 'SPOILER' tag below. What we are looking for? Game Kits is looking for new original resources to be found exclusively on Game Kits. Please read all information in this section if you wish to become a contributor. The Jobs These are non-paying contributions. Meaning you or Game Kits will make no kind of profit from them. When submitting your resources you must inform us if it can be used in free or commercial games (i.e. you own user license). If you wish to create commercial products you can e-mail Game Kits at owner@gamekits.org to get further details (please send all basic questions; not referring to Commercial Product Development to questions@gamekits.org). Contributor Roles below is a list of contributor jobs. Spriter/2D Graphic Artist From Character Sheets, Tile Sets, Icons, etc. You can also contribute Sprite Tutorials as well. Scripter Scripts must be usable in a game and have a DEMO; no "hello world" stuff. Script tutorials as well. Event Creator Event in RMXP and VX; tutorials as well. Mappers Tutorials only with a demo or screen shots of final map. Tutorials From writing (story and plot) to other game making tutorials (i.e The Basics of RPG Maker XP). What Should My Contribution Come With? 1) Bug free is a MUST! 2) Complete (non of this will add later stuff) 3) User License (what the user can and can't do with it; .txt file) 4) Tutorials must be fully edited; spelling and Grammar (send your Tutorial Manuscript to tut-edit@gamekits.org and we will edit it at no charge). 5) All Scripts and Script Tutorials come with a DEMO. 6) Event Tutorials come with a DEMO. 7) Scripts come with a Install file. Your Rights By sending us your contributions for free download (or commercial download) you agree that you will not redistribute the item in any form or fashion. You give Game Kits exclusive right to distribute your contribution. I am already working on a new look and design for when we are ready to launch our Beta. So it will be come even better looking. I think you should be open to receiving resources that are available at other sites. These resources won't hurt the site. True, but the focus at Game Kits (especially when we start the RPG Maker Beta is to have new and never before seen resources instead of what people have already seen).
