After WW2-The German Punishment

Recommended Posts

Nazi Germany was a disgrace. Jewish people were sadly murdered for unjust reasons. The Allies found the Jewish camps. Many dead Jewish bodies were thrown together in groups. The survivors needed medical attention.

The German people claimed they did not know what was going on. They said the government lied to them about how the Jewish people were treated. Despite their claims the Allies forced Nazis and Germans to bury the dead.

Germans around the world were forced to leave countries to return to Germany. Germany was a war torn country. There was very little food. Millions of Germans died.

Do you think the German Punishment by the Allies was fair? Do you think an entire country of people deserve part of the blame for the Nazi's killing Jewish people?

I personally don't think so. Pretend your own country was mass-exterminating another race, and hell, let's even say that you know. What do you do?

On top of that, Germany was not the only war-torn country in that era. Pretty much all of Europe, Russia, and countless other places were in the same boat. In fact, I may be wrong, but I believe Russia had it considerably worse. In some places, being killed and cannibalized was a very real and everyday fear.

Point is, half the world was in the middle of rebuilding their country, and I doubt at the present time they were feeling much compassion for or felt like lending a hand to the very country that started it all, even though I am sure many of the everyday citizens were completely innocent. All in all, I believe it was just a very sad series of events.
