Writer, New to RMXP, Making 1st Game

I'm just getting started with RMXP, writing a game which you can keep up with here: http://exxceptiondraft.tumblr.com/

I'm trying to make my game really cinematic and literary, so any pointers on how to add to things like in-game titles, cut-scenes, flash-back, exposition devices, and general over the top word-heaviness would be helpful, right? This looks like a great forum, I'll definitely be looking around a bunch.
