Moving On

Recommended Posts

Fellow Members,

First off no I am not leaving and the purpose of this post is to simply inform people of new motivations, ideas, aspirations, etc. Except for the community project I will not be making any RPG Maker XP, RPG Maker VX, or Game Maker games (not that I have made any or a whole lot any way). After the community project is completed I will no longer make any games or participate in any other community projects. I have been wanting to get into more serious game making and this means picking up new things like Blender; which will be the focus as well as learning C++ and Python. To put it lightly I have ideas, but they are best suited for a 3D game. I will never use RMVX again so I will add another license for the community contest I started (which means you now have a chance to win RMXP and VX which means now we can have three winners instead of two. Do not worry I am not leaving as said before and any projects/games I create will be posted. I decided to start with Blender because it is free, a vast support community, vast collection of 'how to' books and DVDs.

I will also be using and messing with RPG Builder 3D to make a few projects in, but only until I fully learn Python and how to use Blender. So you might see a project appear made in that engine before you see one for Blender.

v/Respectfully,

Noob Saibot/Kage Kazumi

good luck with what you want to aim for :)

Blender is a good choice to start off 3D modelling, you may also want to try out 3DCoat (if you havn't heard of it before)- it's a voxel modelling program and is very nice and easy to use. It just gives you a little more scope of the 3D world and for portfolio building., it's also more detailed than Maya.
