Need Artist for a 3D game - Crystalium Chronicles

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have been thinking of creating a RPG Game on the Blender 3D system. Now, I know this is for like RPG Maker's and all (Atleast I think)

I am in desperate need of a Artist. My artistry skills are very... low (sucky) I am here to find an artist who can draw well... these types of character arts. Your job would to draw these types of characters with the ones on my games website, which is listed below!

This CG cinematics from FFT: War of the Lions is what my 3d models and maps are going to look like. (without the old film effect) The man that is creating my 3d models need art of the character and I can't draw!! I want the production to get started but need those character arts.

If your a musician, I need you for creating masterpiece music. Since the game is action based, I was hoping to find someone who can make music that sounds like FFT and FFXII have collided. I hope to hear from all of you soon!

There are a ton of spelling and grammatical errors on your "website." Also, you haven't offered much in return for art. I suggest you write up more about your game in hopes to attract more people. Right now, all I see is some person with high hopes, yet no wisdom as how to make it happen.

WELL IF ITS PAY I CAN'T DO THAT. I can offer a spot in the credits for everyone who even helps just a little. Oh, and i know the website is outdated and not good. I will fix that as soon as i get the new character art's going...

 Unfortunately mate, Im going to have to lay some cold hard facts on you. Trust me it will sting but if you can use this advice well then you will be better for it.

:o

You are asking for help on an internet forum. With people you have more likely than not never met before in your life. You are not familiar with any of us, I assume and have no ties to anyone on this forum. Furthermore, you have not been a member of this community for very long and 12 days you have been a member you have made 3 posts, 2 of which are in this topic.

Now just for the record credits are not a viable form of compensation when compared to money or goods and services and resource request require an investment of ones time and energy. The only reason a person would even trade a service for credits is because it is a good investment of their own time. Working on a project and getting credited is only profitable when two conditions are met.

1. The game is completed.

2. The game is profitable/popular

if both of these conditions are met then being credited is good because it allows a resource creator i.e graphic artist, musician, etc. to be advertised and possibly drafted to work on a professional paying job.

Without a guarantee that the project will be both completed and popular the chances of anyone investing time into said project is slim to none.

From your post I don't know if how much of the game you have completed yourself, how much you have invested in it, whether or not there is any viable progress and any indication of the games popularity.

This does not set you apart from the hundreds of thousands of people who are doing the same thing. Hell my brother has been working with blender for 4 years, but he still can't convince me to work with him.

In my opinion you should not ask for help until you have exhausted every possible iota of talent and effort that makes up your being into your game, generate a fan base for it, add some incentive to work on the game and then request more help.

I mean the fact of the matter is no one works for free. If you pay someone they will do what you ask even if you succeed or not because they are still getting what they were promised. If you aren't paying someone you have to convince them that what they are doing will pay off because their return on investment is tied to the success of the project
