Re: Priority for Displaying Pictures, Editor window size

Question

Hi there-

I had two quick questions, if anybody can help, really appreciate it!!

I have a lot of pictures for a CMS - but I goofed a bit and set up pics 1-4 before setting up something I wanted to go below them. I tried adding that picture but it seems that the layer of a picture is determined by the number? Is this normal?

I.e. when I place pictures 1-4, it appears below 9, but I want it above.

Another thing, is there any way to expand the windows? I don't know if anybody has ever run into a problem where they have several nestled conditionals in an event and it gets harder to read the bottom ones... also, same for the resources window, does anybody know of a fix or mod that makes you able to see more of the filename?

Sorry for these, they may be stupid but I appreciate your patience!

Yes that is normal. The higher the index of the picture used, the closer to the player it will appear.

picture 9, will always be above pictures 1-8.

As for the editor, there is (as far as I know) unfortunately no way of making them larger :/

For the filenames, I would suggest using shorter names; say with short forms of the name you want. (ex. win instead of window, as long as it is something you will remember, it should be fine.)

As for the conditional branches, there isn't much I can suggest, as because (unfortunately) evented conditional branches do not support logical operators like and/or, etc. So it is really hard to simplify logic to reduce the number of conditional branches...

I wish you best of luck, it's been a long time since I have seen anyone attempt an evented CMS :) (ohhh nostalgia of the RM2k/3 days, I am actually kinda excited to see what you come up with :D )
