Bigace360 38 Report post Posted October 10, 2011 (edited) Here's some bad images of my Koi (they keep moving <_< ) and some of my placo as well. (warning images are large) I'll get better images later, if I feel like it. Edited November 9, 2011 by bigace

Bigace360 38 Report post Posted October 11, 2011 :D I had a koi once. It died. However, I still have 2 axolotls (Mexican walking fish). :) I would have 7 but, the first Koi died a week after I bought it because heater for my room killed the power and I was to lazy to turn the power back on in my room after having to go back downstairs to do it like 2 times already. So at night since the filter wasn't on due to no power, the dirty water killed one of the 3 koi. Then 4 months ago one of my Angle koi fish died when I was refilling the tank. When went to go put the 3 fish in the tank, the angle had died in the bucket. The 3 Koi died 3 months ago after having for a week due to the water being bad. It's like I'm not supposed to have Angle Koi fish. :(

Bigace360 38 Report post Posted November 9, 2011 (edited) Whats wierd in my tank now is that now the Koi want to eat the placo's food for some strange reason. This began to happen like 2 months ago. Haha. Sometimes when i flick my light on I find my axolotls just floating near the surface, like they're dead, but they're not. Its fun times at my house. I just binged that creature, and what is that. fish with legs or a lizard that swims? Edit: I didn't see that you posted this earlier: :sweatdrop: :D I had a koi once. It died. However, I still have 2 axolotls (Mexican walking fish). :) They look wierd but probably interesting to keep. Edited November 9, 2011 by bigace
Marked 197 Report post Posted November 9, 2011 Yeah, they are really violent toward their food and attack it, which is great :) They also don't die unless extremely badly taken care of, which suits me. Not that I take bad care of them lol just not 'immaculate' care. That still sounds bad, I do look after them.

They sound like they die like any normal fish, don't clean there water when needed and then they die. How much did they cost you, my Koi all together is probably 90 bucks, I magically haggled down. Because I most likely would of spent $150 instead if the guy didn't lower the price for me.
Marked 197 Report post Posted November 9, 2011 I'm pretty sure they survive longer than normal fish. To induce their metamorphosis (and turn them into lizards), one way is to stop caring for them, and they transform as a last resort. Not too sure how much they cost, probably not as much as yours. My friends spontaneously took off with my car on my 19th birthday and came back with them lol

My friends spontaneously took off with my car on my 19th birthday and came back with them lol lol, so they are lizards just they act more like fish for quite a while. Ya Koi are (unnecessarly) expensive. Especially the Angel Koi which are twice as much as the standard and guess what both of my damn expensive Angel Koi died. So while I got the white standard and the red/orange Angel for 15 each, I pretty much payed $30 for the White Standard since the Angel died a week later.
